Are you a retired nurse looking to make a difference? Roper Hospital in downtown Charleston is recruiting volunteers for its newest volunteer program.

RENEW, which stands for Retired Nurses Extending Wellness, invites retired nurses to volunteer their skills, compassion and time to support nurses, patients and their families. Volunteers will answer simple call-bell requests, sit with patients and help with other tasks.

Whether it’s mentoring, supporting programs, helping create jobs, speaking to our youth, or simply showing up for the community everybody can play a part in making a change.Real change starts when communities come together instead of waiting for another life to be lost.

Let’s stand together, uplift our youth, and stop the violence before it starts. 💜
