What a fulfilling, fun and fantastic week last week was!

Monday— a wonderful massage with Janet from Holistic Healing Massage and Body Work LLC in Apex, NC.

Tuesday - our Executive Director here at , aka Glenaire Continuing Care Retirement Community welcoming the Kintura communities for our Olympic games. (He is quite handsome under all his green frog 🐸 attire lol. And when is the last time your Executive is such a great sport?). Our Glenaire chair volleyball mixed team took a gold! Whoo hoo!

Wednesday-writing postcards and mailing them to remind people our Vote is our Voice!

Friday- GiGi's Playhouse Raleigh Gala where tons of money was raised for an awesome cause.

Not pictured here but Saturday and Sunday were dress down and rest up days.

Oh Leon’s and my life is filled with such good, compassionate, giving folks.

Our cup (as well as trophy 🏆 ) is full.

We are looking 👀 forward to another fun filled, action packed week.

This is from GiGi's Playhouse Raleigh Gala 🎉 on Friday night. And what a night it was!!!

Celebrating 🙌 this fabulous non-profit which enriches the lives of people with Down Syndrome.

At Gigi’s playhouse there are programs for learning, playing, and advancing in life!

And most importantly, all the services offered (cooking courses, tutoring for schools, physical fitness, field trips, preparing for the work force, pre-natal information, and tons more) are FREE!

I am so proud to volunteer with my Friends from Gigi’s monthly when they come to Glenaire Continuing Care Retirement Community for crafts, pottery, chair volleyball and THIS MONTH our annual costume 🧙 parade!

Quick sidebar of how life is soo ahmazing. When we first moved to Cary, one of the first folks we met and became friends with was a young lady who worked at a grocery store and she weekly packaged our groceries.

Last year and this year she was on the stage and speaking to over 300 people! And she did it like a pro!!!! Small world)!

Also I am soo excited that our , Glenaire, has hired one of our Gigi’s Friends to work once a week in one of our restaurants. It is a delight to see residents look forward to getting their weekly hug from him.

Looking forward to a new week of adventure and trying to “BeTheGood” in this world.

What a grand night many of us had at the GiGi's Playhouse Raleigh’s Annual Fund Raising Gala held at the Angus Barn last night.

“BTW, we all here from stayed up until after 10 pm. Can you believe it?”

Thank you Glenaire Continuing Care Retirement Community for sponsoring a table as well as for Bev and Jim Kilpatrick and Barry Goldstein for purchasing a couple more tables so many more of us could attend.

I would call last night Magical 🧙 !

Hearing testimonials from the Friends who attend Gigi’s as well as their family members and to the volunteers and staff who spoke was life changing.

One of the volunteers who spoke had this signage which I captured.
