Salty Mist Design Company

Every bar we make starts with the same question: does this ingredient actually do something for your skin, or is it just filler? Natural clay to draw out impurities. Essential oils for real, lasting scent. No shortcuts, just raw ingredients working in harmony. Link in bio to see what's in your favorite bar.

Monday 10/5, Devotional: New Beginnings

Scripture: "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new is here!", 2 Corinthians 5:17

The Heart of the Matter: Every new week is its own kind of shoreline, washed clean by the tide overnight. Driftwood lets go of where it used to be, and sage clears the air for what's next. Monday doesn't have to carry last week's weight. It gets to start fresh.

Daily Application: Before you open your inbox, name one thing from last week you're ready to let go of.

Quick Prayer: Lord, thank You for new mornings and new mercy. Help me walk into this week light, clear, and ready. Amen.

🍂🌊 Good morning, and welcome to the week. There's something about an autumn morning by the coast, cool air, warm light, a little salt still in the breeze. We're easing into this week slow and grateful for all of you. Stick around, we've got some good things to share over the next few days. 🤍

Monday, July 13, 2026: Sparking Warmth in the Cold

Corresponding Bar: Driftwood Fire

Scripture: "A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed." — Proverbs 11:25

The Heart of the Matter: There is nothing quite like a beach bonfire made from driftwood. The wood, saturated by salt and dried by the wind, burns with unique, vibrant colors, offering warmth and light to everyone gathered on the dark shore. We are called to be that driftwood fire on a Monday morning. The world can feel cold and self-absorbed, but our lives can radiate the warmth, joy, and encouragement of Christ to everyone we encounter.

Daily Application: Be the "warmth" in the room today. Intentionally compliment a coworker or leave an uplifting comment on a friend's page.

Quick Prayer: Lord, let the fire of Your love burn brightly in me today. Use my words and actions to bring warmth and light to someone's dark Monday. Amen

Monday, July 6, 2026: Conditioned for the Journey

Corresponding Bar: Cured Leather

Scripture: "He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he causes me to stand on the heights." — Psalm 18:33

The Heart of the Matter: Leather only becomes useful, tough, and beautiful after going through a rigorous curing process. Uncured hide is stiff and easily ruined, but cured leather can withstand heat, salt air, and heavy labor while remaining flexible. When Monday demands endurance from us, we can remember that God is constantly conditioning our hearts. He is molding us so that we can handle the miles ahead without breaking down.

Daily Application: Before checking your morning notifications, ask God to condition your heart with patience for the specific tasks on your schedule today.

Quick Prayer: Father, cure my heart today of impatience and worry. Make me resilient and flexible for whatever this day holds. Amen.

Friday, July 3, 2026: The Character of the Coast

Corresponding Bar: Barnacle Wood

Scripture: "Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." — James 1:4

The Heart of the Matter: A piece of wood covered in barnacles tells a story of survival. It has spent years in the deep, weathering storms and adapting to its environment until it became a unique coastal treasure. As you look back on your workweek, you might see a few bumps, bruises, or stressful moments. Don't view them as wasted energy. God is using the friction of life to give you spiritual texture, depth, and a story worth sharing.

Daily Application: Let go of the desire for a "perfect" track record this week. Celebrate the fact that you persevered through the rough spots.

Quick Prayer: Lord, thank You for the texture You are building in my character. I trust that the things that test my patience are making me mature and complete. Amen.

Wednesday, July 1, 2026: Beautifully Intertwined

Corresponding Bar: Barnacle Wood

Scripture: "From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love..." — Ephesians 4:16

The Heart of the Matter: Barnacle wood isn't clean or pristine; it is a complex tapestry of natural elements fused together by time and water. It reminds us that we weren't meant to live isolated, perfect lives. Growth happens in the messy, tightly-knit spaces of community. By mid-week, it’s easy to feel lonely or exhausted by carrying the weight of our tasks alone. God designed us to latch onto each other, supporting and being supported through the heavy tides.

Daily Application: Reach out to one friend or fellow small business owner today just to offer a word of encouragement or a quick check-in.

Quick Prayer: Father, thank You for the people You’ve placed in my life. Help me lean into community and be a source of strength for someone else today. Amen.

Monday, June 29, 2026: Embracing the Permanent Anchor

Corresponding Bar: Barnacle Wood

Scripture: "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure." — Hebrews 6:19

The Heart of the Matter: Barnacles attach themselves stubbornly to old wood, piers, and ships. No matter how violently the tides crash or how deep the water gets, they do not let go. As we step into a new week, life will try to pull us in a dozen different directions. Barnacle Wood reminds us to cultivate that same stubborn grip on our faith. When we are anchored firmly in God's promises, the rough surf of life can stomp against us all it wants—we won't be moved.

Daily Application: Identify one truth about God's character (like His faithfulness or goodness) and choose to mentally "latch onto it" every time a stressful thought pops up today.

Quick Prayer: Lord, be my anchor today. Give me the strength to hold fast to Your truth, no matter how chaotic the waves around me get. Amen.
