Episode 2 of Dad Usually Cooks and I really thought I was a five-star chef after last week. 😭😂👩🍳
I genuinely think this pot roast COULD’VE been so good… but apparently I bought the wrong cut of meat AND didn’t cook it long enough. 💀 So much for my big homemade dinner before the girls’ softball game!
But hey, we got pizza in the end, everyone ate, and nobody went hungry. 😂🍕 So was it a cooking fail? YES. Was dinner still a win? ALSO YES. 🤣
We’re not giving up! Episode 3 is coming, and I WILL redeem myself. 😂
Be honest… am I the only one who has completely butchered a meal trying to be a good mom? 👇😭

Show 😂⚾️ Tonight’s episode includes teaching herself how to pitch, a quick pizza stop before the game, Daddy coaching, and of course… the mandatory wiggle-wiggle in the outfield. 😂💃 Softball nights are BUSY, especially on school nights, so Pier 76’s $10 pizza deal Monday–Thursday is such a lifesaver. 🍕 Thin crust, SO good, and perfect for grabbing dinner before the game! We’re just here for the pizza and whatever Billie decides to do next. 😂❤️ 📍 Snug Harbor Little League 🍕 $10 pies Monday–Thursday at Pier 76 softballmom

There’s something so special about watching a dad teach his daughter something new. 🥹❤️ From learning how to hold the club to taking her first swings, these are the little moments that turn into BIG memories!
Who knows… we might have a future golf champion in the family! ⛳️🏆💕
Anyone else have a little golfer in the making? 👇😂

This one hits home for our family. ❤️🔥🚒
Daddy, Pop, and so many members of our family are or were firefighters, so supporting the FDNY means a little extra to us. ❤️
From October 5–8, participating Outback Steakhouse locations are giving back to the FDNY Foundation, with 15% of your eligible purchase going to support the organization.
So if you’re looking for a reason to grab dinner this week, this is a pretty good one. 🥹❤️
Check the participating locations, head to your local Outback, enjoy dinner, and help give back to the people who give so much to our community. 🚒❤️
EPISODE 1 OF DAD USUALLY COOKS 🍲😂
If you hear kids crying in the background… just know this is what cooking dinner with three kids sounds like. 😂
Dad usually cooks in this house, but it’s October, so I decided I’m entering my crockpot era because I need dinner to be EASY.
I’m not really a cook, my kids are VERY particular, and there are only a handful of meals I make that everyone actually eats. So I figured… why not challenge myself to try a new crockpot meal every week?!
First up: crockpot chicken pot pie. The biscuits are supposed to be on the side so you can scoop the filling right into them… and honestly, I’m obsessed with this idea. 🙌🏼
And somehow… the kids actually ate it. Nobody was fighting over dinner. I consider that a HUGE win. 😂
So welcome to Dad Usually Cooks.
Give me your easiest crockpot recipes because I need all the help I can get. 😂👇🏼
What should I make for Episode 2?

She’s not giving you a hard time. She’s having a hard time.🤍
I wish I could go back and tell myself this the first time I felt overwhelmed by Billie’s big emotions, her inability to sit still, the moments when she just couldn’t listen, or the things that seemed so easy for other kids but felt impossible for her.
Because Billie isn’t “bad.”
She isn’t being difficult on purpose.
She isn’t too much.
Her brain just works differently. 🧠💗
ADHD can look like a million things that people don’t see.
It can look like forgetting what you just asked 30 seconds ago.
It can look like being overwhelmed by something that seems so small.
It can look like struggling to regulate emotions.
It can look like incredible creativity, imagination, humor and a heart that feels EVERYTHING so deeply.
And as her mom, I’m still learning.
Learning when to correct her and when to hug her.
Learning when she needs boundaries and when she needs a break.
Learning that sometimes the behavior I’m struggling with is actually a little girl struggling herself.
Billie has taught me to slow down, listen differently and give more grace.
And I hope she grows up knowing that she never has to apologize for the way her brain works.
She is not less. She is not broken. She is not “too much.”
She is Billie. And she is absolutely incredible. 🥹🤍
For every mom navigating ADHD with their child: you are not alone.
And for everyone else, this is your reminder to choose understanding before judgment. You never know what’s happening underneath the behavior you’re seeing.
Save this for the hard days. Share it for a mom who needs to hear it. And tell me one thing your ADHD child has taught YOU. 🤍👇
