HAPPY FRIDAY! š And apparently 97 wasnāt finished telling the storyā¦
Yesterday morning, I checked my fasting blood glucose and saw something I hadnāt seen in longer than I can remember:
97 mg/dL.
UNDER 100! šš½
I was so excited that I planned to post about it yesterdayā¦but life happened and I never got the post up.
Maybe that was a good thing. š
Because THIS morning I checked againā¦
96 mg/dL. š
Two mornings. Two readings under 100.
Now THATāS my Happy Friday! šš½
Iām keeping this in perspective. Two readings donāt tell the whole story, and Iām certainly not declaring victory based on a couple of mornings.
But I AM celebrating progress.
Iāve been intentionally working on the small habits I can repeat:
š„© Protein
š¾ Fiber
š§ Hydration
š¶š½āāļø Movement
š“ Sleep
And yesterday, after seeing that 97, I still got outside and took my daily walk.
Because this isnāt about reaching one number and deciding Iām finished.
Itās about building habits I can actually live withāand continuing to show up for myself.
So today Iām celebrating 96.
Tomorrow? We keep going. š
SMALL WINS. REAL CHANGE.
Blood glucose readings are individual snapshots and can vary from day to day. This is my personal wellness journey and isnāt individualized medical advice.
WEEK 3 starts now. šŖš½
Two weeks down.
At this point, this challenge isnāt just about finding seven minutes anymore.
Weāre building a habit.
Week 1 was about showing up.
Week 2 was about building strength.
And now Week 3 is about challenging our endurance, stability, and control just a little more.
Our commitment stays the same:
10 exercises.
42 seconds each.
7 minutes total.
This weekās movements are more challenging, so rememberāmodifications count.
Step-back burpees instead of jumping burpees.
Bodyweight squats instead of squat jumps.
Step-out plank jacks instead of jumping.
Modified push-ups when needed.
The goal isnāt to keep up with anyone else.
The goal is to keep showing up for you.
And just like Week 2, Iāll have a Week 3 Exercise Guide with QR codes linking to proper-form demonstrations so you can review each movement before you begin.
Seven minutes may start the movement, but Iām still working toward the bigger pictureādaily movement, protein, fiber, hydration, and adequate sleep.
Weāre not chasing perfection.
Weāre building habits we can actually keep.
Strong Is Built Daily.

7 minutes of Discipline
For Week 2, weāre still keeping our commitment simple:
10 exercises.
42 seconds each.
7 minutes total.
Because proper form matters more than speed, Iāve also put together a Week 2 Exercise Guide with QR codes that link to demonstrations of each movement.
Modify as needed. Full disclaimer in caption.

WEEK 2 starts now. šŖš½
If you made it through Week 1 of the 7 Minutes of Discipline Challenge, take a second and give yourself credit.
You showed up.
And thatās exactly what Week 1 was aboutābuilding the habit.
Now weāre turning it up just a little.
For Week 2, weāre still keeping our commitment simple:
10 exercises.
42 seconds each.
7 minutes total.
This weekās movements challenge a little more strength, balance, core stability, and enduranceābut modifications absolutely count.
And because proper form matters more than speed, Iāve also put together a Week 2 Exercise Guide with QR codes that link to demonstrations of each movement.
Remember: these 7 minutes donāt have to be your entire movement goal for the day. Theyāre simply your commitment to START.
Iāll still be working toward my full daily movement goal, along with the other habits Iām continuing to buildāprotein, fiber, hydration, and adequate sleep.
Weāre not trying to become perfect in 28 days.
Weāre proving that we can keep showing up for ourselves.
Keep showing up daily.
