Cadie here. I want to share a little of my personal esti school experience.

Back in 2018 I had just gone through a divorce. I was a single mom with two kids, one in kindergarten and one in second grade. I used every dollar I had to get an apartment near an esthetician school because I knew I wanted to build a better future and offer full body waxing for both women and men.

In school we kept being told we would be shown how to do a Brazilian wax. That day never came.

Instead we were shown an old video of a woman performing a Brazilian, then a Manzilian with no gloves, using the same applicator while saying “Whatever wax touches them will stay on the body, which means the wax pot is clean.” 😱

The video looked like it was filmed in the 90’s. And to make it worse, the genitalia were blurred in both videos so we could not even clearly see what was happening.

I was close to graduating and completely panicking. I remember thinking, did I really just waste $10,000 on school? Did I just mess up our future?

The school did the bare minimum. The one thing I was counting on learning was not properly taught, and it was not even demonstrated once.
