✨There has been a shift in the world of skincare and wellness from quick fixes to a focus on longevity and cellular health.
🧬Cellness is a new term to capture the evolution beyond surface-level wellness into cellular biology.
Instead of masking issues on the surface, this approach fuels cellular energy by optimizing mitochondrial health so your cells can repair and renew efficiently.
🎯It uses smart, bioactive ingredients to restore cell-to-cell communication, protect DNA, and combat underlying inflammation.
📈When you optimize how your skin functions at the cellular level, lasting radiance naturally follows from the inside out.
Start healthy habits today so your future self will thank you❤️

🍇 Pterostilbene is an emerging topical skincare ingredient that has been identified as a promising antioxidant.
🫐 Pterostilbene is a natural compound found in blueberries and grapes. It is similar to resveratrol and may help mitigate skin damage caused by oxidative stress.
📚 A recent study showed that participants who used a pterostilbene emulsion for 28 days had firmer, more elastic skin, with fewer wrinkles and smaller-looking pores.
🧴 The study included 31 participants aged 32–53, who applied pterostilbene emulsion to one half of their face and a placebo emulsion to the other, twice daily for 28 days.
🔬 In vivo imaging with confocal microscopy revealed epidermal thickening and increased collagen and elastic fibers.
💡 While preliminary research is promising, pterostilbene is still a relatively new skincare ingredient. More research is needed to establish its effectiveness for skin rejuvenation.

➡️Hair follicles have some of the highest metabolic demands in the entire body. Swipe through to see how specific dietary patterns can affect hair density and shedding.
The Study➡️A study conducted in Rome, Italy, tracked 104 men diagnosed with androgenetic alopecia (male pattern hair loss) and 108 men without the condition to evaluate the protective role of the Mediterranean diet.
What they found➡️ After controlling for age, education, BMI, and family history, researchers found a powerful protective effect
📈High consumption (3 or more times per week) of raw vegetables reduced the odds of developing hormonal hair loss by 57%
📈High regular consumption of fresh herbs reduced the odds by 56%
🥗Adding fresh herbs and raw salads to your weekly meals may be beneficial for hair health
The Study➡️A community-based study in Tangshan, China, evaluated 3,008 women to identify modifiable diet and lifestyle risk factors associated with female androgenetic alopecia (pattern hair thinning)
What they found➡️Researchers found an overall prevalence of female pattern thinning of 6.85%. After adjusting for statistical confounders, results showed an association of hair thinning with:
🥓 Bacon & Preserved Meats - Frequently consuming bacon and preserved meats more than doubled the odds of developing hair thinning
🚫Avoiding processed meats may help lower your risk of female pattern hair loss.
The Study➡️ A Mendelian randomization study analyzed existing diet preference data from 161,625 UK
Biobank participants and compared their genetic profiles directly to non-scarring hair loss records from the FinnGen database.
What they found➡️The data highlighted clear dietary villains and protectors. The study identified 18 dietary factors associated with hair thinning
📈High-glycemic, processed carbohydrates, dairy, and alcohol consumption carried the highest statistical risk for hair loss. Alcohol showed the strongest link to hair thinning.
📉Conversely, a high preference for polyphenol-rich plant foods (like tea, melons, and onions) showed a powerful protective effect.
Your body treats your hair as a non-essential luxury💇🏽♀️
If your diet is high in processed foods and l

Advice I’d climb a building to tell you from a board certified dermatologist😅
Last week I had an opportunity to tour NSF with Nutrafol® 🌱
🔬NSF is an independent, not-for-profit organization that ensures safety, quality, and label accuracy for supplements.
Nutrafol is the first and only hair growth supplement to earn NSF Certified for Sport® which is their highest level of certification✨
I was truly impressed by the scientific rigor involved in the certification process at NSF. The tour was so interesting and I learned so much 📚
