Curated Medical
Your destination for a luxury anti-aging and aesthetic experience created by Katie Mann, DNP, FNP-C
We love a facial that can multitask so you’re not choosing between the experience and the outcome.
We start with dermaplaning to remove surface buildup + peach fuzz, then DiamondGlow gets to work with its three-in-one approach: exfoliating, extracting debris from pores, and infusing a targeted SkinMedica serum tailored to your skins needs.
The immediate payoff is the very clean, very hydrated, suspiciously good glow you’ll walk out with. But we’re also working on texture, congestion, hydration, and overall skin quality while you get to lie there and do absolutely nothing.
This is what we consider a very productive hour of laying down.
And yes, you can see the gunk jar of everything we pull out of your face.

There’s a reason we don’t treat a full face treatment like we’re speed-running through a checklist.
When we’re doing more comprehensive facial balancing, we usually split it into two appointments.
First we’re looking at the upper and midface. This is areas like the temples, under eyes, cheeks, pyriform, and nasolabial folds. The areas that create support through the center of the face and, very importantly, can change what’s happening below them.
Then we let things settle and integrate.
Once that support sets in, the lower face can already look different. A little lift through the cheek can soften what looks like heaviness around the jaw. Better midface support can change the shadows around the mouth. Suddenly the chin shadow or prejowl might need less filler than we initially thought.
At your second visit we’re able to reassess the lower face and only treat what is actually needed. Sometimes the best treatment plan is the one that leaves a little wiggle room for the plan to change.

Your first injectable appointment is probably not going to feel the way you’re imagining it...
Most people come in expecting to be judged, pressured, or talked into more treatment than they wanted.
In reality, we spend most of the appointment talking.
We want to know what brought you in, what you’ve been noticing, what you love about your face, and what you hope to achieve. Then we take a step back and look at your face as a whole, because the best treatment plans aren’t built around a single wrinkle or feature.
They’re built around you.
Nothing happens without a conversation first. You’ll know exactly what we’re recommending, why we’re recommending it, and what to expect before we ever pick up a syringe.
There are no surprises, pressure, or rushing through your appointment because someone else is waiting. Just thoughtful planning, honest recommendations, and a treatment that feels as comfortable as the result looks.
Because your first injectable appointment shouldn’t leave you wondering what just happened.
It should leave you feeling informed, confident, and excited to come back.

When people hear the word peel, they usually picture acids. Green Sea Peel is a little different.
Instead of using chemical exfoliants, it relies on thousands of microscopic marine spicules to stimulate your skin’s natural renewal process. Think less “burning off” the top layer and more “encouraging your skin to do what it already knows how to do.”
Green Sea Peel creates brighter skin, smoother texture, fewer breakouts, and healthier collagen production over time.
It’s also one of our favorite options for patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have more sensitive skin, or simply aren’t candidates for traditional chemical peels.
Like any resurfacing treatment, there is a little downtime. Expect a few days of redness, a little flaking, and a strong reminder to stay out of the sun while your skin does its thing.
Sometimes the gentlest looking treatments are doing some of the hardest work! Green Sea Peel is a perfect example of that.
PS- the countdown is on! We’re just a couple weeks away from Olivia’s return from maternity leave. You can book with Olivia on Mondays and Thursdays starting in August.

If you ask the internet, masseter Botox is one of the worst things you could do to your face. 👀
ICYMI, the internet at large believes that masseter Botox causes jowls. But like most things in aesthetics, the reality is a little more nuanced.
Masseter Botox doesn’t create jowls.
What it does is relax a muscle that sits at the angle of the jaw. As that muscle becomes smaller over time, the lower face can appear slimmer and less square.
For most patients, that’s exactly the goal. But this is when anatomy and patient selection really matters-
In some faces, a larger masseter is doing more than creating jaw width. It’s also providing a degree of structural support for the soft tissue sitting above it. If that tissue already has some laxity, aggressively reducing the muscle size can make that existing heaviness a little more noticeable.
Key words: ✨️existing laxity✨️
The treatment didn’t create it. It revealed what was already there.
This is exactly why masseter Botox isn’t a treatment that should be approached with the same dose or technique for every patient.
Some people are fantastic candidates. Others benefit from a lighter dose. And for some, it isn’t the right treatment at all.
It’s got a bit of a misunderstood reputation, but the people who love masseter Botox lovvveeee it.

There’s a reason so many people think their skin is “dry” every summer... even when it’s actually producing plenty of oil.
When your makeup starts separating, your skin feels tight after cleansing, or your skin looks a little flat or dull, the instinct can be to reach for a heavier moisturizer.
But sometimes oil isn’t the problem.
Dehydrated skin is a condition. It means your skin is lacking water, and every skin type, including oily skin, can become dehydrated.
Summer is actually one of the easiest times for it to happen between heat, sweating, sun exposure, and spending hours bouncing between air conditioning and the outdoors.
Dry skin, on the other hand, is a skin type. It naturally produces less oil, which is why it tends to feel rough, flaky, or persistently dry.
It might seem like a small distinction, but knowing which one you’re dealing with completely changes how you treat it.
Not sure where you might fall? That’s what we’re here for!

Rather than adding volume directly, Sculptra stimulates your body’s own collagen production over time.
Collagen is the protein responsible for skin structure, support, and firmness. Starting as early as our mid 20s, we naturally begin producing less of it each year. Over time that loss of collagen contributes to changes in skin quality, facial support, and overall facial aging.
Sculptra works by encouraging your body to rebuild some of that collagen gradually. It’s a slow, subtle improvement that develops over the months following treatment.
This is also why Sculptra doesn’t create a puffy, overfilled, or “done” appearance.
You’re not adding large amounts of volume to the face. You’re improving the foundation beneath the skin and supporting the structures that naturally keep the face looking firm, balanced, and youthful.
Patients often tell us they look healthier, more rested, or that something just seems different, without anyone being able to identify exactly what changed.
That’s the beauty of collagen stimulation. No one will know what you did, but everyone will be telling you how great you look.

If you’re wearing SPF every day, using the right skincare, and still not seeing improvement in your melasma, we need to talk.
One of the most overlooked triggers for melasma is heat.
And we’re not just talking about sun exposure.
Melasma can be triggered by both external heat and increases in your body’s internal temperature. That means things like heated workout classes, saunas, hot tubs, long hot showers, and even some LED masks can contribute to pigment activity.
When the skin is exposed to heat, it creates inflammation and signals that stimulate melanocytes, the cells responsible for producing pigment.
For those prone to melasma, this can make existing pigment darker and make it more difficult to see progress, even when you’re doing everything else right.
This doesn’t mean you have to give up the things you love. But it does mean that if your melasma isn’t responding the way you’d expect, heat exposure might be the thing you’re ignoring.
The key to managing melasma is understanding all of the factors that contribute to pigment production and building a plan that addresses them together.
