A healthy skin wall will offer so much protection.
🧱 🧈💧 🧱
Your skin cells are the bricks. The lipids between them are the mortar. And water helps keep those bricks hydrated, flexible and resilient.
When the water + lipid balance is supported, you have a strong, well-built wall.
But that wall can become compromised in more ways than one. Especially during a time of seasonal change, you may be noticing your skin is starting to shift.
💧 Dehydration can leave the bricks lacking water, which can make skin feel tight, dull, rough or crepey.
✨ Over-exfoliation can disturb the outermost layer when we’re constantly asking the skin to shed more than it needs to.
☀️ UV exposure creates oxidative stress and can contribute to damage over time, which is why daily SPF is about more than preventing visible signs of aging. It’s part of protecting the wall.
Sometimes dry skin is a balance of MORE or LESS…
MORE hydration layers incidents that hold onto water.
MORE lipid ingredients, ones that will not clog your pores but support the structure. A good balance will have your cells hydrated but not over saturated.
LESS exfoliation, less constant stripping. Your skin needs time to mature to provide strength. If it is frequently sloughed off for fresh new cells, the barrier begins to weaken by constant overturning. Leading to more sensitivity and reactivity.
Healthy skin isn’t about having the most products or constantly removing the old skin.
It’s about creating the right environment for your skin to do what it already knows how to do.
Water + lipids. Less disruption. More protection.
The skincare lines that I carry are all going to support the balance and support of your skin barrier.
If you’re been struggling come in and let’s find your perfect balance for your skin.

Welcome to Autumn. The organs of with this season are the lungs and large intestines. 🫁
The lung points are located along our cheeks.
The lungs are associated with holding onto grief; this can be all kinds of grief, personal, job or relationship-related, but it’s asking you to let go and release what you no longer need to hold on to. Allow the process to start to unwind and unfold as it should.
Working the cheeks helps to bring awareness to anything we have been keeping tucked away. It will bring more energy, and vitality to you by letting those feelings surface and pass.
The corners of our mouth hold our large intestine. This is the start of our elimination process. Physically and emotionally.
As we move towards the end of the year, what are you no longer willing to carry with you?
Just like the leaves and animals, what changes do you want to start to make with yourself to better help you survive the winter. Conserve your energy and let go of the things that are draining and weighing heavy on you.
Remember to take deep breaths when you work these points.
Ways to support your lungs and large intestines during this time is to work your breathing. Taking a slow walk, while focusing on deep cleansing breaths to release. Movement will help elimination as well.

Is reset, lock in, check-in….
All over your for you page like it is mine
Maybe subconsciously that’s what inspired this skin reset. But either way it needed to happen.
For this at-home reset, I focused on three things: refine, release, and replenish.
• REFINE
I used the Dr. Alkaitis Organic Enzyme Mask mixed with Greek yogurt. The pineapple + papaya enzymes help gently break down protein buildup on the surface of the skin, leaving it feeling smoother and more refined without physical scrubbing.
• RELEASE
I spent some time working through my chest, neck, and jaw. With my LANSHIN ™ massager focusing on my chest and neck. Then I included a little intraoral/buccal massage. I alway seem to forget how much tension I carry in these areas, especially after neglecting it for a while. And, as usual, one side was MUCH tighter than the other.
• REPLENISH
I finished with my REJINS ™ Rejuvenating Serum, & Revitalizing Oil, and my favorite July Sky: Clean Mineral SPF SPF to hydrate, support the skin barrier, and bring some glow back into my complexion.
The goal isn’t perfect skin that’s poreless, or blemish free.
I’m just noticing and reacting to what I know will help support it.
Sometimes the best skin reset is about releasing.

I invite you to please share. 💬
One thing that I’ve always done for myself is my skincare.
It’s not always the same amount of dedicated time. Sometimes it’s a quick wash, and some oil. Other times it’s a 20 minute Gua Sha routine, or a sheet mask, and red light.
But I know no matter how long I stay with myself that time makes me feel better.
On my lowest days, when I’m moving slow and my eyes are puffy and tired. When I can feel how hard I press on the pump of the cleanser because my hands feel weak, when my circles are gentle and soft, when I feel how the towel wipes the water drips, and then when I look at myself in the mirror, still puffy, still tired, but feeling accomplished. Seeing a slight glow, and feeling like I got a little cleaner, (physically and energetically)
This is what I know that helps me.
So even on days when I don’t want to take off my waterproof mascara, I reach for the cleansing oil and put it on my lashes right away. It’s there, I have to work it in now. So I take the time, press on my lashes and feel the mascara dissipate and soften.
I did it. I didn’t want to but I showed up in this little way. And I know I will feel better tomorrow.
I’m taking my skincare and broadening its horizons. To my hands for journaling, to my body for movement, to my stomach for nourishment.
Tell me,
What have you started doing for yourself that genuinely changes how you feel?
Let’s share and expand all our horizons.
