I’ve been doing a project.
•
Over the last couple of weeks I’ve demoed the inside of my shed. I built it out the way it was probably close to 30 years ago.
•
With the clean slate came taking everything out. That part was ok. Until I got to paint.
•
That has been and will continue to be a process. I apparently spawn paint!
•
Anyhow, yesterday started the restock process. Round 2 of going through everything to see if my keep desire has changed over the last couple of weeks.
•
As well as changing up 2/3 of the floor plan and how I REALLY want things stored.
•
This cooler that I’ve known for what seems most of my life has a special spot. I built a little shelf so nothing could ever block it, touch it, hide it.
•
This cooler went everywhere we did when I was a kid. My dad’s cooler. Over the years I have stored things in it. But mostly it has been buried in a back corner. So that it wasn’t moved or disrupted.
•
But in the sorting process it was pretty much the only thing Kash cared about. So it earned a showcase spot.
•
This is just a reminder that be it closet kitchen, yard, wall… it’s ok to put something with personal value on display. To be seen and felt whenever you walk by it. Whenever you open the door.
•
Grandpa Bobs cooler will be seen every day. Twice a day! Because the chicken feed now lives in the shed too.
•
Sometimes we start a task for practicality and organization. Then it ends up being about love and sentiment.

Did you know I start holiday production in July? Crazy right!?!
•
This part of holiday production has finished and started in the last 24 hours.
One of the beautiful people in my life gifted me a handful of frozen cranberry bags as last season I really couldn’t get enough. So I freeze dried them.
•
Then the farm stand at Mt Everest Academy had some glorious organic rosemary. I captured some for myself to propagate new rosemary patches and I have some in the freeze dryer right now for their Farmstand.
•
What do you think I might have planned for holiday production with these beauties?

Pangaea Outpost got a soap restock!
•
Shape soaps abound for the upcoming fall season.
•
Expect the shape soap game to be strong for the next year. Not only are they cute. Decorative. Coordinating. But they get kids to use soap.
•
Any parent out there knows that value!!!!
•
Not to mention they are made with clean ingredients. Nothing to disrupt your system.
•
Actual SOAP, not detergent bars that are good for laundry that you buy in a big box store that are marketed as soap.
•
They are all priced by weight. And the bars… well they will make you happy!
•
It’s ok to buy them because they are pretty. It’s not ok to not use them because they are pretty. You deserve to use pretty things!

What’s up Wednesday.

Today would be a great day for a yard like this.
•
Last night we got home from training and I went to do touch up on the dryer as I had my LAST load of full wash everything bed… and the dryer pooped out. Thankfully that last pillow and blanket were dry.
•
San Diego Pop-up Kids' ReSale Event Sept 25-27 is next week and today’s schedule consisted of laundry starting at 8am and flipping every hour.
•
So now everything shifts and I hope the repair truck has whatever part needed during my 8-12 repair window tomorrow.
•
Gonna hold out and hope for a tomorrow fix rather than lugging bins of outgrown clothes to the laundromat to prep for a sale.
•
First world problems. And sometimes we need a reminder how easy we have it.
•
So as you travel through today. Give your stuff a little appreciation. Let it know you love the job it does, because we really do!

This is major culprit of skin issues. Not THIS, since this is usually a big fixer. But it’s gross second cousin once removed is the problem.

Day 3 BRICK -N- BARN

Outside artisans have some ahhhh maaaz ingness this month. My neighbor Michelle Marie Peterson has been hard at work. The flowers are beautiful. The treasures abound.

BRICK -N- BARN day 2!

Like I said, things are looking a little different this time at the barn. Massively high heat for an extended period of time create inventory situations.
•
The great news is, if I don’t have exactly what you need on the table, you can turn it into a special order right then. You walk in the barn, pay for it, and I will deliver it in October. Not sure when… We have to see what this temperature and humidity situation does. But I promise you will get it before October 31.
•

Good morning BRICK -N- BARN

Things are gonna look a little different on my display today. Hopefully they’ll look even more different tomorrow because my fingers are crossed the temperature will cool down a little bit tonight and I can bring some other things for you.
•
I don’t know if you saw the report that came out in the last 48 hours, but it says that San Diego has had the hottest and most humid summer for the third time in the last 130 years. That is absolutely no joke!
•
With that brings production challenges for someone like me who doesn’t use any preservatives and lives in a house that was built in the 1950s. For the last four weeks. The average temperature in my home has been 84°. Most of my ingredients start to liquid by 78°, so you understand the challenge.
•
But with the impossible brings new opportunity! And the new opportunity this weekend is gift certificates!
