Two years.
Two years since Heaven gained my greatest protector.
There isn’t a single day that goes by that I don’t miss you, Daddy.
Some days it’s your stories that carry me through. Other days it’s hearing your voice in my heart, reminding me what you would’ve said. And then there are the moments when I look at Ruby and catch a glimpse of you in her smile, her expressions, or the little things she does. For just a moment, it feels like you’re still here.
I was always Daddy’s girl.
That will never change.
Thank you for teaching me resilience, humility, unconditional love, and what it means to lead with a servant’s heart. The older I get, the more I understand the sacrifices you made so our family could have a better life.
The pain of losing you has never disappeared, it has simply become another way of loving you from a distance.
Until the day God allows us to embrace again, I’ll continue honoring your legacy, sharing your stories, laughing at the jokes only you could tell, and loving you with every beat of my heart.
Te extraño hoy. Te extrañaré mañana. Y te extrañaré por el resto de mi vida.
🤍 Siempre seré la niña de papá.

For a very long time, I didn’t wear black.
Not because I didn’t like it, but because I had inherited the belief that black represented something it never truly did. It wasn’t my belief, it was a generational one, passed down without question.
As I’ve grown older and wiser, I’ve learned that healing isn’t just about forgiving. It’s about questioning. It’s about asking, “Who told me this?” and “Is this really mine to carry?”
That kind of work isn’t easy. It asks you to sit with the uncomfortable, to revisit the places most people spend a lifetime avoiding. I chose to go there. I chose to face the messy, the painful, the inherited.
And somewhere in that journey, I said:
Enough. This ends with me.
Ancestral healing has taught me that not every story I inherited deserves to become my identity. Not every fear belongs to me. Not every belief deserves a seat at my table.
Today, I stand differently.
As a woman.
As a designer.
As someone who understands that color carries meaning—but only the meaning we choose to give it.
Black is not darkness.
Black is elegance.
Black is confidence.
Black is timeless.
Black is strength.
Black is mystery.
Black is presence.
Today, I wear black not because I’ve changed who I am, but because I’ve finally become who I was always meant to be.
Sometimes the most beautiful thing we can inherit… is the courage to stop inheriting what no longer serves us.
I wear black because the story changed. And I was the one who rewrote it. 🖤

During a time of uncertainty, a time where the world no longer felt safe, my little miracle made her grand entrance into my life.
She gave me hope.
She gave me strength I didn’t know I had within me.
Fast forward to today, and she is my steady in the chaos… the purest joy in my life. My daily reminder that Grandma and Grandpa are still with us somehow, watching from heaven through her smile, her laughter, and the love she carries so naturally.
For me, Mother’s Day isn’t just one day a year.
It’s every single day thanks to the beautiful miracle God entrusted me with. 🤍

3× cancer survivor.
A woman who never stopped showing up for others.
So I designed a hat to honor the woman she became.

They didn’t see THIS PART
They saw the stage.
They saw the red hat.
They saw the confidence.
They didn’t see this.
The picture I keep close.
The reason I don’t quit.
The legacy I carry in every design.
Glammed Jefa was never just about hats.
It was about honoring where I come from —
and designing where I’m going.
My parents didn’t get to see this chapter.
But every crown I create carries their courage.
Grief didn’t silence me.
It refined me.
