Needless to say, we’ve come a long way 😅 If you’re interested in my story, take a read!
I’ve been doing makeup “professionally”(not just family or friends) for almost 7 years now. I have a Marketing degree and worked in sales for 10 years, 5 of those doing makeup “on the side”.
July 2024, I said goodbye to safety, 401k, insurance, and corporate America to go full in on my dream career of a bridal makeup artist. It. Was. TOUGH. I did lots, LOTS, of free work, low paying work, and was the “DM queen” trying to connect with other artists in the area to pick their brains and assist when I could! In 2024, I think I only had 5-7 of my own brides. I began advertising in the Tampa/St. Pete market and Michigan.
2025 - still assisting a lot, but getting a few of my own brides! I invested big in my products and tools, but also my education. Training with Portland Makeup Artist (who ended up being my bridal makeup artist for my own wedding), SHELBY HENRY and SD MAKEUP ARTIST | Isabella Lococo, where I flew all the way out to San Diego. These lessons, I give SO much credit to my improved skills in makeup application but also content creation and socials! I had about 20 some of my own brides in Florida and Michigan.
2026 - was already projecting to increase my own bridal bookings AND was a 2026 bride myself. Started the year with my incredible Spring Florida brides, got married, then made my way back to Michigan for the Summer/Fall season! Still practicing/taking models for free, still investing in the best products/tools/experience for my brides, still knowing I can do/be better.
Now - I’m projecting to double my bridal bookings in 2027c with brides in Michigan and Florida. Finding the balance between living and breathing my work, and actually living and breathing. Spending special time with family and friends in Michigan and exploring with my husband.
I am truly thankful everyday for everyone(loved ones, vendors, brides, strangers on the internet) who have been so supportive in this dream. Thank you thank you thank you if you’ve ever liked/commented/saved/shared a post, referred me, booked me, gave me a review, or anything in between. Means more than you know 🫶🏻💕

This reveal, with minimal cuts, lives rent free in my head and heart forever. It was one of those situations where everything truly happened as it should.
