pro·to·type (n) - 1) The first or original model from which others are copied. 2) An idealized image of someone or thing that serves as an original type or example. In the modeling industry, "plus-size" refers to any model that is not "straight-size" - a euphemism for the straight-down, no-curves shape of the traditional fashion model. Look around you big girls and big women are everywhere. Plus size women are worth 3.8 billion per year to the fashion industry. There are approximately 40 million women in the US who are plus size. It goes without saying that we all want to look stylish and fashionable. If you fall under this body type, then you are in luck, you are of the same body type as celebrities like Beyoncé and Jennifer Lopez. For pear body types, look for blouses that are fitted at the waist and loose at the hip area. Also, you can choose A-line dresses to highlight your assets.
• Apple type – Lean limbs and a plump midsection characterize apple body types. If you are of this body type, you might want to emphasize your breast area.
