🎒 Back-to-School Conversations | Episode 4 — Final Episode

We’re closing out our Back-to-School Conversations with a conversation about the adults behind the support: educator/parent wellness & emotional capacity. 💙

Educators & Parents pour so much into their students & children but supporting children also requires paying attention to the emotional well-being of the adults in the room.

In this final episode, Meagan and I talk about recognizing signs of emotional depletion, making space for your own needs, and finding realistic ways to care for yourself while caring for others.

🎥 Take a few minutes to join the conversation.

And if you’ve followed along with us throughout this series—thank you. 💛

We’re taking these conversations one step further with our Keeping the Child in Mind: Parents & Educators Workshop on Saturday, November 21, 2026.

Because keeping the child in mind also means remembering the person supporting the child.

You don’t have to reach your breaking point to deserve a break. 💛

Rest can look like putting your phone down, taking a nap, stepping outside, or letting someone help. Give yourself permission to pause before exhaustion makes the decision for you.

What kind of rest do you need today?

🎒 Back-to-School Conversations | Week 2

Big emotions can be hard to navigate—for children and the adults supporting them. 💛

This week, Meagan and I are talking about what it really means to support a child through overwhelm: validating feelings while holding boundaries, using regulation tools when words aren’t working, and creating calm spaces that feel supportive—not punitive.

🎥 Take a few minutes to listen to the conversation and share with a parent, caregiver, or educator who may need this reminder.

Feelings are always okay. Not every behavior is—and children can learn the difference with our support.

🎒 Back-to-School Conversations | Week 1

Back-to-school season can bring excitement—but also anxiety, uncertainty, big emotions, and overwhelm for children and the adults supporting them.

In our first conversation, Meagan Rizzo-Bosca, LLPC, and I talk about back-to-school anxiety, what it can look like, what may be underneath the behavior, and how adults can respond with greater understanding and intention.

🎥 Take 16 minutes and join the conversation.

Because sometimes the behavior we’re trying to change is actually a feeling asking to be understood. 💛
