💙 Help me support my lifelong friend and her amazing son, Ambrose! 💙

I’m sharing something very close to my heart today. My very close friend is running a 10-mile race for her almost-4-year-old son, Ambrose, who has congenital CMV, which has significantly impacted his life through disability and medical complexity.

But Ambrose is so much more than his disabilities. He is incredibly smiley, social, full of love and light, and has the most amazing ability to find joy in life. He absolutely LOVES his people and brings so much happiness to everyone around him. 💙

And his mama? She is incredible. I’ve watched her advocate for him, celebrate every milestone, navigate the hard days, and pour absolutely everything she has into giving Ambrose the happiest and fullest life possible. I couldn’t be prouder to call her my friend.

As a mom and someone whose work is centered around supporting families, this cause means so much to me. Her race is raising money for the National CMV Foundation to support families impacted by CMV and bring awareness to a condition that deserves so much more attention.

Starting August 26, Village Walks are moving from Tuesdays to Wednesdays at 9:30 AM! ☕️👟

We’ve had SO much success with these walks and I absolutely love the connection we’ve created. Tuesdays no longer work for me, but I want to keep this going on Wednesdays! 🤍

I know school starting back up means life gets BUSY, but let’s make time for ourselves! Come walk, grab a coffee, and connect with other mamas. 🫶🏼

A huge thank you to all of the amazing moms who joined us for our Moms’ Night Out cooking class with Chef Bodie at Thought Design. It was the perfect night to step away from the daily chaos, enjoy great food, sip some wine, learn new recipes, and—most importantly—connect with other moms.

Building community is at the heart of what we do at Beyond the Bump, and nights like these are such a great reminder that moms deserve time to fill their own cups, too. 💛

Trinity Health OR Training ✔️

I’m excited to share that I’ve officially completed Trinity Health OR training!

As your doula, I can now accompany you and your primary support person into the operating room during your planned or unplanned cesarean birth at Trinity Health in both Muskegon and Grand Rapids.
