The foot rest is just that a for rest. It is not for standing on. The chair can flip forward causing you to fall, and the chair, to fall on you or flip over. ( and they are not light). The foot rest could break off as well. Again causing you to stumble and fall. Please do not stand on the foot rest. Once you are sitting down you put your feet up on it to rest your feet! 😊
