Summertime means warmer temps and ponytails β˜€οΈand I'm already seeing so much breakage from all those re-cinched ponytails.
STOP TOUCHING YOUR HAIR.
Your hair is going to get tangled throughout the day, especially if you are out playing in the sun, wind, and water. Do not readjust your ponytail by splitting it in two and pulling it back to its original position!!
Take the time to remove the elastic CAREFULLY, bush it (starting at the bottom), and make the ponytail over again.
Oil is also going to be your best friend.... just keep it off your roots.

πŸͺ„ 🎩 MAGIC ✨️
There is truly not a better word to describe this. Pictures don't do it justice.
It's blowing my mind. I've done extensions for over 20 years, and NOTHING can compare to the CombLine method!!
Extreme cases of thinning hair/ hair loss now have a solution! Her natural hair is so fine, and delicate other extension methods were not an option.
These bonds are so tiny that even up is hard to tell they are there. (The sectioning you can see will actually blend and separate after the first washing. The adhesive needs to cure a full 24 hrs before washing.)
We purposely chose lighter extensions because her dark color will fade out and the lighter hair will still look seamless as they grow out. The CombLine method is a natural shed (very similar to eyelash extensions). My client will be back every 4-8 weeks to get a refill. This means that over time these extensions get even better!!
My books are currently full till August, but I'm taking Saturday appointments (deposit required at booking) for extension clients.
* Current extension clients: you can add this service on at your next appointment for a special price! Text me for details.

My newest certification in the CombLine extension method is even better than I could have imagined!
I asked my daughter to be my guinea pig. Working on real people can sometimes be harder than a mannequin.
I'm always very reluctant to color her natural red hair, so we added in some blonde highlights with . They are perfection! Even up close you can barely see the bond. πŸ‘€
I feel lucky to be one of the first handful of stylists to offer this technique.
I'll be sharing more soon....

Before pictures would have been really cool..... but I forgot to take them. πŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈ
These after shots are just too good not to share.
My beautiful client is almost 100% grey, so she covers her roots every few weeks. This balayage style is perfect for her. Let's her have highlights without the upkeep. It's a great option for those tired of having an allover color but still need something low maintenance. Clients with this type of color get a full color only once or twice per year. (Root touch-ups, glosses/toners, and haircuts are still a great way to keep this style looking good throughout the year. )

Getting REaDy for summer. Blondes are not the only ones having fun. πŸ”₯

Let's play a fun game. It's called: "Guess the total"
This ☝🏼 is a pretty typical beauty supply trip for me. I have to go once a week to two or more stores to stock up on supplies and refill my retail shelves. Today's trip was one store, one bag and no tools (blow dryers, curling irons, combs etc. You'd be surprised how often I have to buy those big ticket items as well.)
So for one bag of supplies that will last me about a week, what was my total?? *total is the price I paid with my license/discount, NOT retail value.

List your guesses below or send a DM. The closest guess will win a little prize from me. 🎁

I get this question all the time: Do extensions ruin your natural hair?
The answer is: absolutely not!
When you have a certified, trained stylist and proper home care, your natural hair can actually thrive while wearing extentions.
This is a great example from one of my clients. When she first came to me, she had been wearing clip-in extensions every day for years. They had caused bald spots and sores on her scalp from where the clips would sit and rub. With her first set of sew-in wefts I was worried how her natural hair would hold up. It was very fine and thin.... and in some sections, missing completely. She did a great job caring for her extensions at home and when she came back a few weeks later to get them moved up we started noticing some positive results. After a few months her hair has started to grow in so nicely! No more bald spots! πŸ™ŒπŸΌ
If you are trying to get your natural hair to grow, or need more fullness, give extensions a try. There are so many options and techniques to fit budgets and lifestyles. Better hair can be yours. I'd love to have you in my chair.

December is full. 😬 Not the words I like saying a few days into one of the busiest months of the year.
I've decided to open up a Saturday to hopefully accommodate any last minute client bookings. If you need to get your hair done before next year it's going to cost you $10 more and my only day available is Saturday Dec. 16th. The $10 will need to be paid when booking to hold your Saturday appointment spot. Thank you for understanding!

And how awesome are these extension before/ after photos! I need to remember to post more often.

Let's play a game: Fact or Fiction (answers below):
1. Extensions ruin your natural hair.
2. Extensions are expensive.
3. The Vintage Comb isn't accepting new clients.

1. Fiction.
Check out those photos. When extensions are properly installed and maintained, your natural hair thrives! More growth, less breakage. Extension hair holds styles longer, which means you don't have to style it as often saving you time and wear and tear on your natural hair.
2. Fiction.
There is a sale happening NOW. 20% OFF all new hair (Nov. 24th-27th)
Extension hair can last up to a year or more! With proper care, your extensions can be reused again and again. One package of hair is plenty for most clients. (2-3 rows per package)
3. Fiction.
I am accepting new clients. My books are filling up for the holidays, so please book early.
