Hi, Friends! It’s been a little quiet around here, and we wanted to share why.

Over the last several months, we’ve taken a step back from social media and spent some time reflecting on where we want Bare Terra to go.

What began in our home was rooted in a passion for simple ingredients and intentional products.

As time went on, both the market scene and the social media world began to feel different. What once felt like community started to feel more centered around competition, comparison, likes, follows, engagement, and constantly trying to keep up. Rising vendor fees made it increasingly difficult for small businesses to participate, and to be honest, it got exhausting.

What began as a passion slowly became a source of stress, and with three busy boys and a full life at home, we knew it was time to step back and reevaluate.

The beautiful thing? While we were quiet here, our website remained open. Orders continued to come in from coast to coast, reminding us that people genuinely love what we’re creating.

That time away gave us clarity.

Moving forward, we’ll be much more intentional about where we invest our time and energy. Rather than saying yes to every opportunity, we’ll be selective and focus on the ones that truly align with our brand, our values, and the vision we have for Bare Terra.

We’ve also had opportunities to pursue larger retail partnerships. While we’re incredibly grateful for those conversations, we’ve learned that growth only makes sense when it aligns with the kind of business we want to build.

That said, we’re excited to share that Bare Terra is making its way into the hospitality space, and we have some exciting things in the works.

After a lot of thought, prayer, and future planning, we’ve realized our business is entering a new chapter- one that deserves to be fully reflected in who we are and how we show up.

When we first started Whisk and Meadows, the name reflected our original vision- sourdough baking (hence the whisk) alongside handcrafted tallow goods. As time went on, our focus naturally shifted toward creating thoughtfully curated, tallow-based care products… and it has grown into more than we ever imagined.

As we head into the new year, with new opportunities and plans still unfolding, we wanted a brand that truly reflects where we’re going. Terra is Latin for land or earth- an ode to natural living, traditional tallow, and returning to what’s rooted and real. Bare represents our commitment to keeping things simple, honest, and clean- no excess, just thoughtfully chosen ingredients.

Someone once mentioned how often our product appearance has changed over time, and we welcome that. It means we’re paying attention, refining, and refusing to stay stagnant. In our first year of business, we’re choosing growth over comfort as we learn, expand, and raise the bar on quality.

Over the coming weeks, you’ll see a gradual transition to reflect this new chapter. The first noticeable change will be the updating of our name across social media platforms. Our website will be unavailable effective this Friday the 19th while we work hard behind the scenes over the next two weeks to ensure it fully reflects these updates and aligns with the direction we’re heading. During this time, orders can still be placed directly with us through DM.

While the name is changing, the products you know and love are staying- crafted with the same care, intention, and quality you’ve come to expect.
