Wellness With A Side of Soul I have been cooking and eating whole foods for over forty years. Family meals were known to be delicious, elegant and nutritious.
When I was in my twenties my immune system weakened and I would " catch " whatever seasonal flu or virus that was in the air. I was living in San Francisco after I graduated from college and " by chance " I met people who were making the connection between food, wellbeing and spirituality. I decided to change my way of eating - adding whole grains, beans, abundant amounts of vegetables and seaw
eeds ( Macrobiotics ). " Miraculously " my health and immunity strengthened, any digestion issues ceased, my energy skyrocketed, and my anxiety became minimal. Cooking classes and lectures followed, as I moved to Boston and earned a Masters degree in Education at Boston University. Fast forward ( well not exactly so quickly ), I married and raised my children with an awareness of health and wellbeing ! Guests frequent comment was " Why can't I eat this way all the time? Well, you can, has always been my answer! I have gained a tremendous amount of experience and wisdom about whole foods nutrition in conjunction with family and individual nutrition. Learning has been through study, mentors, intuition and trial and error! Any dis- eases I developed ( including Candida and women's issues ), I have treated Holistically with success. My mode has always been too consult MDs and other Healers. In 2013, I became a Holistic Health Coach at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. In addition, I am a certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher and a Laughter Yoga Leader.
