🫧 **Happy National Soapmaking Day!** 🫧
Today, we celebrate one of the world’s oldest and most beautiful crafts — **soapmaking**.
The history of soap stretches back thousands of years. Some of the earliest known soap-like mixtures date to ancient Mesopotamia, where fats and alkaline substances were combined for cleaning. Over the centuries, soapmaking evolved from a practical household necessity into a skilled craft passed from one generation to the next.
And today, that tradition continues — one carefully handcrafted batch at a time. 🤍
At **Cosy Soap Co.**, I make our soaps using the traditional cold-process method, thoughtfully blending beautiful oils and butters, tallow, silk, and carefully selected fragrances and ingredients. Each loaf is poured, cut into individual bars, and then given time to cure before it ever reaches your hands.
There’s something very special about knowing that this craft connects us to generations of soapmakers who came before us — while still leaving room to make each bar uniquely our own.
So today, on **National Soapmaking Day**, I’m celebrating the artistry, patience, chemistry, creativity, and love that go into turning a simple collection of ingredients into something beautiful.
And I’m especially grateful for every person who has taken home a bar of Cosy. You’re allowing me to build something I truly love, one batch at a time. 🫧🤍
