Of course, amidst WWII shortages and rationing, her hoarding might mean that some other poor dame didn’t get her pink pout, which is why poor Doris feels bad about the whole thing. She even wrote to the FBI to confess and ask for advice, but they didn’t seem too bothered.
Personally, I can’t judge her. I never go out without bringing at least two shades of lipstick. How do I know what mood I’m gonna be in? Sure, my purse always weighs a ton, but that’s a small price to pay for options…
