As future beauty professionals and entrepreneurs, we pour so much into our craft, our clients, and our goals—but we have to remember to pour into ourselves too. When you bet on yourself, a lot can be at stake, and learning how to manage that pressure matters. 🫶🏽

Preparation is EVERYTHING. 🎓✨

Today we’re doing a mock State Board facial, and when I say MOCK, I mean we treat it like the REAL test! From sanitation and setup to timing, procedures, and professionalism my students practice exactly how they’re expected to perform on State Board.

As an educator, it’s extremely important to me that my students don’t just graduate I want them prepared to test, PASS, become licensed professionals, and confidently step into this industry. 💪🏽💕

We practice. We correct. We repeat. We PREPARE.

Because graduation is the milestone, but LICENSURE is the goal! 🎓➡️💳✨

Taking my Enrichment students to SalonCentric was about giving them real-world exposure to the industry they’re preparing to enter. They learned about professional products, tested out tools, discovered opportunities available to them as students, and even had the chance to purchase products at a discounted rate.

A special thank you to Dee WILLIAMS at SalonCentric Duluth for always welcoming my students, pouring into their education, and even surprising them with gifts for their participation. 💕

I’ve had the privilege of watching many of these students grow from Pre-Salon all the way to Enrichment, and seeing their passion and confidence develop makes me want to give them every resource, connection, and opportunity I can.

One day they won’t be my students they’ll be my fellow beauty professionals. 🥹✨

And I want them READY. 💪🏽
