Different rooms, different roles, same me every time.

😭 Mom, before I understood life, love, strength, or sacrifice, I understood you. You were my first home, my first safe place, my first example of what it meant to love someone completely.

So much of my life has been built around knowing that you were there. Through every version of me, the little girl, the young woman finding her way, the wife, the business owner, the student and the woman I am still becoming, you have remained the person I look for. In every room, every celebration, every difficult season and every accomplishment, I have always and will always want my mom beside me.

You have been more than my mother. You have been my comfort, my protection, my laughter, my best friend and the steady presence that has made life feel like home.
There is no title I could ever earn, no place I could ever go and no success I could ever reach that would make me stop needing you.

Today, on your 59th birthday, I need you to know that your life has mattered deeply. Your love has shaped me. Your sacrifices were not unnoticed. Your presence has been one of the greatest gifts God has ever given me.

I pray that this year you feel celebrated, not only for everything you have done for everyone else, but simply for who you are.

I pray God returns to you every ounce of love, care and strength you have poured into us. I pray He protects you, gives you peace, renews your joy and allows me the blessing of holding your hand through many more years.

You have been the center of my life for as long as I can remember, and no matter how old I become, I will always be your daughter first.

Happy 59th birthday, Mommy. I love you beyond words, beyond time and beyond this lifetime.

You changed the way I look at life and the way I understand love. With you, love feels like safety, partnership, laughter, protection, patience, and having someone who is truly in my corner.

When I look at these pictures, I don’t just see memories. I see the man you worked hard to become, the life we’ve built, the prayers God answered, and all the little moments that became part of our story.

You don’t have Instagram, so maybe you won’t see this for a long time. But I wanted these words to live somewhere, so whenever you do find them, you’ll know exactly how deeply you are loved.

Being your wife has changed me in the best ways. You’ve made my life fuller, softer, stronger, and more meaningful. You are my home, my rock, and the person I would choose all over again.

And yes, I chose this song because I’ll never forget your face in the car when you realized I actually knew Mobb Deep. You really thought you had me figured out 😂 Somehow that little moment became one of our things.

I love you beyond the pictures, beyond the years, and beyond this lifetime. ❤️

Proof that you can be building the dream, becoming the woman, serving others, loving your people, and still keeping God at the center. (Life lately)…

When I first gave my life to Christ, my brother said, “Oh wow… you’re going to be one of those now?”

At first, it hurt. Because what he didn’t know was how much pain I was in when I surrendered to God. People can see you smiling, posting, showing up… and still have no idea what your heart has been carrying.

I wasn’t trying to become “religious.” I was just tired of living without the One who could truly heal me.

And then Jesus touched my life.

Now I understand it differently. Maybe he saw the change in me before I even fully saw it in myself.

So yes, if being “one of those” means being a woman who loves God, studies His Word, worships, prays, cries with her sisters, and is not ashamed of Jesus… then I pray I become more of that every day.

These girls and I went to high school together in 2011, and here we are in 2026, growing in God together. These aren’t just friends, they’re my sisters in Christ.

I’m not who I used to be, and I don’t ever want to go back.
