Nineteen years ago, my mother carried a recipe and a memory out of Venezuela. Not a business plan. Not a brand. A way of making things she learned from her grandmother, that her grandmother learned before her.
What you bought was never just soap. You bought into the idea that the way something is made still matters. That a pair of hands in Brooklyn, following knowledge that traveled across generations and across a continent, can produce something a factory cannot.
We did not build this alone. Every order, every review, every person who handed one of our products to someone they loved and said try this, that is the staircase we are standing on today.

Nineteen years is not a destination. It is a staircase. Some steps were taken in a grandmother's kitchen in Caracas. Some were taken in a new city, in a new language, starting over with the same hands and the same knowledge and very little else.
You do not see all of it from the bottom. You only see it from where you are standing now, looking back, counting the steps that somehow became a life's work.
