The real mastery of dual forms is when you don’t need to do much filing after removing the form. And getting there requires choosing the right size, distributing the gel properly inside the form, and transferring it onto the nail at the correct angle.

Every step takes theory, practice, and plenty of failed attempts. But the satisfaction when it finally clicks? So worth it 😂

Dual forms ≠ Gel-X 👇🏻

With Gel-X, the tip should fit the natural nail as closely as possible. With dual forms, you actually need a gap between the natural nail and the form — that space is where the gel goes to build the structure of the nail.

And don’t forget: these forms are reusable!
Don’t throw them away after every client. Simply remove the form after imprinting, cure the product, and reuse the form for the next set. 🙌🏼

Proper placement of the dual form is responsible for literally everything:

👉🏼 A clean underside
👉🏼 No leaks around the folds
👉🏼 Protected sidewalls

When placing the form, pay close attention to the angle. The form shouldn’t slide underneath the free edge or “ride” onto the nail like it’s on rails.

Instead, place it gradually — from the proximal fold toward the free edge.
