My nursing career has led me to work at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in the Operating Room as a circulating and scrub nurse. I collaborated with patients requiring breast cancer reconstruction, face and body augmentation, wound care, and excisions for procedures. I feel that this experience has given me enhanced level of understanding of anatomy and being able to scrub with physicians gave me firsthand experience as well. This continued my knowledge base of anatomy and brought a heightened sensitivity to patients that had to undergo surgical interventions that would alter their body. I try to make every experience comfortable, warm, friendly, educational, and most importantly understanding a client’s expectations and goals. I continued my career in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit and now work in Interventional Radiology. My nursing background is based on surgical patients and positive outcomes. Started to get older and experience the wrinkles and that feeling of losing my own personal Glow. I have been doing Botox for about 2 years now and will continue doing it for the next fifty. The feeling I get after Botox I wanted others to have so I decided to pursue an Aesthetic course for Botox administration, and so glad I have. I have had the privilege of meeting many new clients, engaging with them, educating about expectations, and making them a better version of themselves, giving them back their Glow! The best part about being a nurse? You get to help people in all diverse ways. Whether it is comforting them after surgery or bringing out that Glow which enhances their self-confidence and beauty, and it is an honor to be able to do so!
