Finding Calm in the Chaos 💛 CEU with Long Island Care Center
Long Island Care Center recently hosted an educational presentation focused on mindfulness and meditation tools for healthcare professionals and home caretakers.
Presented by Vicki Schuppe, PT, DPT, CHT, OCS and Wendell Miller, LMSW, LPTA, CBIST, the session explored practical ways to find moments of calm, manage everyday stress, and prioritize well-being while caring for others.
Taking care of others starts with remembering to care for yourself, too. 💛

Long Island Care Center celebrated Grandparents’ Day with a special visit from students from The Shield Institute, bringing generations together for an afternoon of coloring, conversation, smiles, and connection.
Our Recreation Director, Marseil, was joined by The Shield Institute’s Fatma Yilmaz, School Social Worker, and Tarsy Gonzales, Transition Coordinator, to help make this meaningful day possible.
