Anyone else like to make the same pattern more than once?

I’m on a “quest” to make handknit tops to go with skirts I have in my closet, and still had more skirts needing tops, so here we are!

I also like how this pattern is easy to modify into a cropped and fitted shape to go with my high-waisted skirts.

Some minor mods:

Knit at a slightly looser gauge- Went up one needle size, and down one pattern size.

For both the neckband and sleeves, I picked up and knit one round, purled one round, then did the Lace BO purl-wise.

For the waist, I am just about ready to decrease quite a bit to pull it in, then I’ll do somewhere between 2-3 inches of 1x1 rib.

One of the things I love about making your own clothes is the ability to create something that coordinates perfectly with something else you have!

I knit this Gress top in my Heliotrope colorway to coordinate with this vintage skirt of mine, and I’m 😍!
