Today we’re talking the menstrual cycle and ways to reduce the dreaded symptoms associated with this time of month. Most women suffer from acne, cramping, extreme bloating and discomfort and here’s some tips to decrease those symptoms ⬇️⬇️
Focusing on nutrition 🥗🥬🍑
1. Remove/limit processed foods from your diet
2. Leave the synthetic hormones alone!! Avoid dairy or meat that may have added hormones, girl you’ve got enough hormones going on yourself!
3. Reduce dairy products. Dairy can clog your respiratory and digestive system, causing more cramping, discomfort and cystic acne ☹️
4. Choose high quality proteins! Go for grass-fed, local if possible & free of hormones
5. Incorporate healthy fats. Fats are not the enemy!! Choosing high quality fats can help reduce inflammation- reducing bloating and discomfort, and can improve your skin.
Girl step up your self care okay!! 🧖🏼♀️
1. Your body needs rest at this time to recover from the draining process it’s going through. Make sleep and rest a PRIORITY so your body can heal peacefully and recharge.
2. Add in herbal teas! Not only are they soothing, their anti-inflammatory factors can help with bloating & discomfort associated with the menstrual cycle
3. Change the way we view our period. This is a natural cleansing process for us women and we should embrace this change and renewal we receive with each cycle. Changing your mindset can improve your mood and give you a deeper, more loving connection to your body 💗💗💗
