For me, this corner of the internet is more than just organization.

It's connection.

It's genuine care.

Its alignment.

So when my doctor releases my restrictions, 3 months post-op from spinal fusion surgery... you better believe I'm going to celebrate it.

I’ve dabbled a post or story over the last few months here, but truthfully, I have been comfortably burrowed into a corner of the couch. In my defense, spinal fusion surgery will do that to ya… & the cold, & snow, & splurging on the most incredible blanket in the entire universe ( you are worth it!).

As I slowly come out of hibernation, I figured now is as good of time as any to say 'hello' again. To remind us that we all have our things, to ground us into reality vs the highlight reel, to relate to another human in a way that makes us smile amongst the darkness of our world right now. To just let me, be me & you, be you.

[Ahem, clears throat]

Hi! I’m Kate!👋🏼

🤍Depending on who we met through, some actually call me Katie. Formally, it’s Katherine (after my Great Grandma)

👂🏻I love a good earring stack (7 holes in my ears & counting!), owning all gold but secretly wanting to do silver, too

🏖️Favorite kind of vacation for just me+hubs? Sunshine & beach. With the kids? I’ve got the Disney bug!

🥣Never, have I ever put a spoonful of cottage cheese in my mouth (I think its a texture thing)

💪🏻I will go to my grave stubbornly lifting heavy s**t

🐄I can make decisions so easily when it comes to other people’s ‘stuff’ but mine? I’ll contemplate it until the cows come home

🥎I played softball from 6-18 years old & will forever go down as the girl with ‘the gun of an arm’ from shortstop

🪴My favorite color to decorate with is a warm beige & natural greens, to wear is brown or pink

🫟My ‘type A’ can get me into trouble sometimes, as I struggle with being strung too tight in the messy zones of life

🩵I wanted our youngest to be a boy and if Ava had in fact been, he would have been named George Joshua

👩🏻‍🦳I decided to finally stop fighting my grey hair (that first showed in high school), letting my natural grow free- I couldn’t be happier with this choice

🧠I would spend a whole day exploring a human cadaver if I could, & even longer prodding into the psychology of the mind & human behavior (a fascination that will never die)

💙🩷🩷🩷My 4 kids (ages 11, 9, 8 & 6) own my entire heart - period.

Your turn. Tell something about you⬇️

In case you didn’t catch my memo the other day— I’m transitioning much of this space into a land that is more personal, better protected, and a hell of a lot more organized 😉

So DM me your email 📧

Because with it, comes a little secret service, just for you 🤎

Hi, hi— and Happy New Year! 🤍

With 2026 goals set & visions manifested, I’ve found myself reflecting on what the last couple years have brought me.

The clients I’ve had the privilege of working with. The connections I've made through this screen and beyond. The spaces I’ve created that I hope are continuously making lives feel lighter, calmer, and more aligned.

So, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU. Thank you for inviting me into your home. Thank you for trusting me to help your families. Thanks you for letting me share my thoughts & passion. For allowing me to do what I truly love.

Which—plot twist— is exactly what has made the last couple of months especially hard.

My spinal fusion surgery in November was planned, but that hasn’t made the sidelines any less lonely. I miss the work. I miss meeting new clients. But most of all, I miss the joy. When you genuinely love what you do, being forced into a time-out from it is not an easy pill to swallow.

That being said, I am officially on the mend- and the surgery was a success. I’m looking ahead to days… years… of pain-free movement. Right now, I am mostly counting down to my restrictions being lifted. I never thought I’d miss bending over into the laundry machine, twisting to put away the dishes, or carrying in the load of groceries- but here we are. I can’t wait to return to normalcy in my own home, and soon, to organizing many more pantries, fridges, and kitchens.

And everything else to come -- the new & the re-aligned of Aligned.byKate🤎

I don’t have any special sale prepared.

I don’t have any fancy graphics.

I don’t have any one working for me.

But I do have me.

With a commitment to lower client’s stress levels by creating functional, daily systems into their homes.

With a passion to design beautiful, supportive spaces we all deserve.

With a promise to give to others my intentional, mindful work that will be theirs, and only their’s.

So as this Black Friday + Small Business Saturday falls upon us, I just ask that you remember your WHY…

That each of your purchases does not just have to be the swipe of your credit card, or a click into your online cart.

That, instead, what you choose to bring into your home and what you share with others, can have just as much intention, purpose, and thoughtfulness as the gift itself.🎁
{i am resting & healing after my spinal fusion, taking every minute i need for me, so i can give again *to you* in 2026🤎}

Sometimes the difference between ‘before & after’ photos is a jaw dropping, take your breath away, incredible transformation to be envious of.

And other times? It’s what a still photo can’t capture, that is leaving the client in joyful tears, with a release of all the overwhelm and pressure, as she takes in the space that is now holding the power to change her family’s life.

No offense, internet people, but I’ll take option 2 every time.

Suzy B did a great job of keeping her fridge and pantry spaces orderly. However, order does not necessarily mean organized. And if we are being honest, organized does not automatically mean functional either. Despite organizational product in place on her shelves, the space felt cluttered, unstructured, and overwhelming most days.

She needed daily systems AND supportive placement in order to reach her family’s goals. So that is exactly what I gave her:

🌿Implementing a red light/green light system to teach her kids safe & confident independence in their food selections

🌿Combining behavioral change strategies with mindful organization to support new habit formation throughout the whole family

🌿Creating an environment that triggers your actual hunger cues & human response to food, rather than playing mind games with you due to marketing strategies of food packaging

🌿Redefined her grocery shopping & food prep mindset, with a pantry & fridge environment to support the philosophy

🌿Blending kid friendly function with a well deserved, mature aesthetic for Mom and Dad, that will internalize their motivation for long term success

This.

This is how we achieve a transformation far greater, far deeper, far more meaningful, than your eye will ever see🤎
{Now tell me, which 🌿technique intrigues you most?} ⬇️⬇️⬇️
