INSECTARIUM is a new stop-motion film from Mexican director Sofia Carrillo built around one seriously unsettling idea: what if every insect on Earth disappeared?

At first, that might sound like paradise. No mosquitoes, no flies buzzing around your room, no waking up to find some mysterious bug crawling across the wall. But insects are doing far more for the planet than most of us realize.

They pollinate plants, break down organic matter, contribute to healthy soil and serve as a crucial part of countless food chains. Remove them completely, and the consequences could spread through entire ecosystems.

That's what makes the story's revived moth so interesting. In a world that has completely forgotten insects, one tiny creature could represent the return of something humanity only understood after it was gone.

And stop-motion feels like the perfect medium for it. The handcrafted textures, strange designs and detailed moth create this beautiful-but-unsettling atmosphere that makes the whole concept feel even more eerie.

Meet Saffron ❤️

This dog is quite possibly the happiest girl her kennel volunteers have ever met. Saffron is super enthusiastic about life and absolutely loves being with people. She's handled introductions to other dogs — and a cat — very well, though all she really wants is love and attention from the people she meets.
