Just another day in the office.

Small incision, small patients. We constantly design ways of achieving cures with the minimal amount of injury to our babies. Here in the picture, Dr. Alkhoury and Dr. Lau performing a thoracoscopic repair of a tracheoesophageal fistula.

The Pediatric Surgical Practice of Leopoldo Malvezzi, MD, Fuad Alkhoury, MD, Juan L. Calisto, MD , Shahab Shaffiey and Felipe Pedroso is devoted to the comprehensive surgical care of newborns, infants and children. The practice is based on the campus of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. The surgeons are members of the hospital’s medical staff and its teaching faculty. The group also serves the pediatric surgical needs associated with the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Emergency Department.
