Pretty sure if someone went through my camera roll all they would find out about me is three things:

1) I’m a hairdresser
2) I have pets
3) I have ADHD

There are so many video ideas that have been started and forgotten!

Lately, I’ve convinced myself I need to do more.

Post more.
Work more.
Get more clients.
Grow faster.
Get more followers.

I know that pushing myself isn’t a bad thing—I want to keep learning and becoming the best hairdresser I can be. But somewhere along the way, that drive turned into pressure, and lately it’s felt really heavy.

Then I think about little me.

The kid who begged to play with everyone’s hair. The one who wanted to do her grandma’s, auntie’s, and mama’s hair because she thought the women at the salon were the coolest people in the world.

She wouldn’t care about engagement or the algorithm.

She’d just be standing here like...

“Wait... WE’RE a hairdresser!?”🥹💜

I think she’d be so proud of us.

Maybe it’s okay to celebrate how far we’ve come while still working toward where we want to be.
