A Scorpio’s Touch
specializing in locs and natural hair care
Success doesn’t happen during business hours.
Sometimes it looks like staying after class.
Asking extra questions.
Getting more practice.
And being willing to be a student again.
Every hour I spend learning is an investment in the women who trust me with their hair.
A Scorpio’s Touch is growing one skill, one lesson, and one client at a time. 🤎✨

My daughter has been working hard on her business, and I’d love for y’all to come out and support her! 🤎
She’s a young entrepreneur with a passion for baking, and she’ll have homemade cheesecakes, and gourmet cookies available at the Father’s Day Pop-Up Shop.
If you’re in Memphis, stop by, say hello, and grab something sweet while supporting a young boss chasing her dreams. 🍓🍪✨

🚨 STOP LETTING ANYBODY PLAY IN YOUR HEAD 🚨
Just because someone says they do microlocks or Sisterlocks® doesn’t mean they actually know what they’re doing.
Before you trust someone with your hair:
✔ Ask to see their work
✔ Ask for close-up photos of their parts and grids
✔ Ask how long they’ve been maintaining microlocks
✔ Look at healed results, not just fresh installs
✔ Read reviews
✔ Pay attention to thinning, breakage, and scalp health in their photos
A cute picture after an appointment doesn’t tell you what that client’s hair looks like 6 months later.
I’ve seen too many people come in with:
❌ Improper Retightens
❌ Broken locs
❌ Uneven sizing
❌ Damaged grids
❌ Locs that should have never been installed that way
Your microlocks are an investment. Do your research before you sit in anybody’s chair.
The goal isn’t just beautiful hair today.
The goal is healthy, thriving microlocks years from now. ✨
Most people don’t realize improper interlocking can create weak points over time…
So I’m building a visual demonstration to show exactly HOW it happens. 👀
Coming soon ✨
I almost didn’t post today.
Not because I have nothing to say…
but because rebuilding yourself can feel exhausting too sometimes.
But I’m learning that consistency isn’t about being perfect.
It’s about continuing.
Even after the off days.
Even after the missed days.
Even when you don’t feel your best.
So here’s your reminder and mine:
You do not have to start over every time you stumble.
Just keep going ✨
I spent so much time being strong for everyone else that I forgot to take care of myself too.
And honestly?
I thought that was normal.
Keep working.
Keep pushing.
Keep surviving.
Keep ignoring the signs.
Until one day my mind and body forced me to slow down.
So now I’m rebuilding my life differently.
With more intention.
More peace.
And more honesty about what burnout really looks like.
This is only the beginning ✨
I spent years surviving.
Pushing through exhaustion.
Ignoring stress.
Telling myself I’d rest later.
Until my mind and body forced me to listen.
So I walked away from the things draining me and started rebuilding my life from the ground up.
Now I’m choosing peace.
Choosing growth.
Choosing me.
One loc appointment.
One post.
One day at a time. ✨
Happy Friday 💕
Shoutout to everybody who woke up, looked at their locs and said…
“yeah, we good” 😌
That’s the benefit of proper maintenance and consistency.
Locs are supposed to make life easier — not harder.
👉🏽 If you’re still struggling with your hair every morning, we need to fix that.
Not every retightening appointment is the same and here’s why.
I’ve had clients sit in my chair with: • locs not separated (causing tangling) • locs marrying/merging at the root • hair growing outside of the loc • over 500+ microlocs
All of these require extra time, care, and precision.
On the other hand, clients who: ✔️ keep their locs separated ✔️ stay on a consistent schedule ✔️ follow maintenance instructions
usually have quicker, smoother appointments.
Retightening isn’t just about time — it’s about the condition of your locs when you arrive.
👉🏽 Consistency saves you time AND money.
