If you have been on a health journey for any amount of time I suspect you have come across the topic of heavy metals. Read this before you continue...

Detoxing from heavy metals can be super dangerous. DMSA, DMPS, CaEDTA, can be very hard on your system and are dangerous. Chelation can be useful after removing a source of exposure like getting amalgams removed. Chelation is not good for chronic exposure.

Taking random supplements like glutathione, NAC, and many others can do a good job of mobilizing metals in your system. The thing is they grab more than actually leave your system. Often times this causes redistribution into vulnerable areas like the brain and tissues.

There is such a thing as detoxing safely and in a way that makes you feel good. That method is just using bentonite clay baths. You can use some other things like edible bentonite clay and ionic minerals. Activated charcoal is also safe and effective. The baths are safe for children.

I was very sick at one point in my life from elemental mercury. I had five amalgams in for over twenty years. I tried everything from chelation, to supplements, and it was very dangerous and I got much sicker and damaged my kidneys in the process. It was all horrible and confusing.

The clay baths are what got me better. No need to complicate things. The baths work. If you want more information on how to correctly approach a heavy metal issue, we are here to help. It's why we started orange sky. The baths make you feel amazing!

Safe travels fam!

“It means to be yourself. And nature will bring love as a reward.” — Osho

Sometimes the journey home begins by becoming quiet enough to hear what is already true.

Our work at the apothecary has always been connected to the value of slowing down, returning to simple practices, and becoming more intentional about how we care for ourselves and move through the world.

That same spirit helped inspire a new creative project from our founder, Benjamin Jamil.

*The Journey Home: Remembering Who You Are* is a forty-day guided journal exploring identity, reflection, compassion, responsibility, and reconnection. Each day offers thoughtful reading, journal questions, and a practical exercise designed to create space for honest self-examination.

The book also marks the beginning of Root & Rise—a larger project devoted to books, practices, ideas, and conversations about the human journey.

Although the apothecary and Root & Rise will remain distinct, they share an appreciation for nature, patience, meaningful ritual, and the belief that lasting growth often begins beneath the surface.

*The Journey Home* is available in Kindle, paperback, and hardcover:

Something new is growing alongside the apothecary.

Our founder, Benjamin Jamil, has launched **Root & Rise**, an independent publishing and creative platform for books, journals, reflections, and practical resources.

The apothecary and Root & Rise will remain distinct projects, but they share an appreciation for attention, nature, meaningful ritual, creativity, and the patient work of tending what matters.

The first Root & Rise publication is Benjamin’s book, *The Journey Home*. Over time, the platform will grow through additional publications, media, community, and thoughtful tools for reflection and connection.

We’re grateful to introduce this new branch of Benjamin’s work and invite you to follow it from the beginning.
