Chat time!
One of the things I hear most often is that I look younger than I am. And while good genes might deserve a little credit, I’m also a BIG believer in doing the obvious but also shifting your mindset because aging is beautiful and should be embraced.
Here’s the Cliff notes of this video:
1. Wash your face, even if you don’t wear makeup! Too much pollutants in the air that can be absorbed.
2. Moisturize your skin according to your skin type!
3. Wear your SPF! I prefer physical sunscreens.
4. Embrace the process of aging - learn to love the history behind the markings on your skin
5. Laugh - have fun! Remember during after every hard thing, strength and smiles come soon enough.

Not everyone shows inspo photos which is fine by me!
Here’s some recent bridal party glam - mom’s included - who had only words to describe what they wanted and ended up loving the results!
During skin prep, I ask questions until I know we’re on the same page.
It’s okay if you don’t know the right terminology, after 15 years - I don’t always either! We’ll get there talk and even after all said and done, tweaks can still be made because it’s only makeup.

Nicole!! Can I just say that she was literally the sweetest, calmest and most fun Rvl’d Bride ever?! She booked in December 2025, traveled across multiple states to have her preview in January…
And guess what, we were hit with a snowstorm, school was canceled and she was calm as can be and came to my home instead of my little studio space while my daughter watched our session.
THEN this past Saturday, me and three other talented artists traveled to the adorable The Estate at Sweetwater Creek Tennessee Wedding Venue in the dark early morning hours with the remnants of Hurricane Isaias pounding down and blowing us around before the most beautiful RAINBOWS - yes, plural - appeared and everyone was hair and makeup ready to celebrate Nicole’s beautiful wedding day!
No matter the weather, this bride was chill as a 🥒 and her soul is pure light. I’m beyond grateful she selected Rvl’d Beauty to be a part of her day.

We started with a half updo, moved to an updo and ended with an effortless high piled bridal French twist.
Abbey’s wedding hairstyle prep began with a blowout which set in rollers while she did her own makeup. This allowed for her hair to be pinned into place without much more effort and helped us get the volume necessary for this trending 2026 wedding hairstyle.
Each style was beautiful but after getting the opportunity to know Abbey better throughout our planning together, I think her wedding day hair suited her best!

A few years ago, I got to work with Marissa on a styled shoot. I was so excited when she reached out asking me to do her hair and makeup for her real life wedding! It felt so good to also see my work from that styled shoot as her inspo.
All that to say, it’s inspo and because artistry should always be a collaboration, in my opinion, we made changes to suit her own wedding day vision from then, to her preview, and finally to her Tuesday wedding day.
Her natural beauty radiates no matter what - seriously, the kindest human ever - but I am obsessed with the shift in tones we used on her wedding day!

I’ve been asked by many but the other day I was talking to my coworkers at Bangs and Blush and I realized I didn’t really have an answer to a question I’ve been asked my friends, family and now…. dun, dun, duuuun…. makeup artists, and INSANELY talented ones who know!
When I first started lash extensions in April, I honestly assumed I’d be able to marry the two together but that was going against my makeup artist standards.
As I became more clear in how I wanted to lead, I decided I wanted to keep lash extensions separate. If a bride wants them, cool but in my opinion, falsies for the day are best!
As a makeup artist, we have more control of every aspect of your eye look when you give it to us.
One thing I will always recommend to my brides are a Korean Lash Lift though! And tint? Even better! This will allow your lashes to blend with the strips or clusters better and give us the ability to cut back to give a more natural finish if needed or raise up the drama if that’s preferred.
Anyway, I love this unknowing part of my career and the ones who keep your mind flowing.
My bridal lash of choice are Ardell 421s but I carry a variety of styles. All from ARDELL Beauty
