We are excited that several SSM alumni have the opportunity to perform in this masterclass!
On Saturday, October 3, violinist Julian Rhee comes back to Madison to coach four young WYSO violinists in a live masterclass at the WYSO Center for Music. Julian is a 2024 Avery Fisher Career Grant recipient, a prizewinner at the Queen Elisabeth Competition, and plays the 1699 "Lady Tennant" Stradivarius.
A masterclass is the rare chance to watch teaching happen in real time. It's free and open to everyone, but Founders Hall seats about 100, so reserve early.
📅 Saturday, October 3 · 2:15–3:30 PM
📍 Founders Hall, WYSO Center for Music, 1118 E. Washington Ave.
🎟️ Free. RSVP: wysomusic.org/event/masterclass-with-julian-rhee

Thank you to Madison Children's Museum for the opportunity to share our music with the community in honor of International Kids for Peace Day! Our young violinists were led in performance by Chantel Charis, and then worked together to create a mandala using beautiful flowers and other natural materials.
