There’s a reason people say, “You never forget how to ride a bike.” 🚲❤️

But for me, it’s not just about exercise. I want to have FUN, enjoy life, and feel my best!

I LOVE a good bike ride! I’m always looking for ways to improve my health and my life—and I love movement that doesn’t feel like a workout. It just feels GOOD!

Biking is a great low-impact way to get your heart pumping, strengthen your legs, work your balance, and enjoy the freedom of being outside. And there’s something about riding a bike that makes me feel like a kid again! 🙌🏽

At 74, I’ve learned that the best exercise is the kind you actually ENJOY.

Walk. Swim. Dance. Ride your bike. 💃🏽🏊🏽‍♀️🚲

Find the movement that makes you smile—and you’ll be much more likely to keep doing it!

Move your body. Have some fun. Feel GOOD! 💪🏽❤️

Most people have this backwards. 👀

They think the body wears out first, and that's why a person stops moving. But usually it happens the other way around. People stop moving, and then the body follows.

That sounds hard, but it's actually the good news. A lot of what people blame on age is really just sitting still too long, and that part you can do something about.

I'm 74. I'm not fast, but I keep moving. A walk. A swim. Dancing in the kitchen. That's what keeps me feeling like myself.

Your body is ready the day you decide to keep going with it. 🔥

Nobody warns you about this kind of lonely. 💔

The kids are grown. Work slowed down. The friends you used to see without even trying have scattered. Nothing dramatic happened. Life just changed.

Here's what I want you to hear: there's nothing wrong with you. But don't brush it off either, because being lonely too long wears on your heart, your memory, and your sleep. It's a health thing, not just a mood.

So go first:

📞 Make the call
💛 Go back to the class
👋 Say hi to the neighbor

Almost every woman your age is feeling the same thing, waiting for someone else to start. Let it be you.

Real life doesn’t happen one movement at a time. 😉

You reach. You twist. You step. You bend. You carry. And sometimes…you’re doing ALL of it at once!

That’s why I love combination exercises. They challenge your strength, coordination, balance, and stability all at the same time—just like real life does.

I use combination moves with my clients too, but I customize them based on each person’s fitness level, goals, and needs. 💪🏽

Because think about it…

🛒 Carrying groceries
🪜 Climbing stairs
👶🏽 Playing with the grandkids
🚶🏽‍♀️ Moving through your day with confidence

These everyday activities require your body to work together—not just one muscle at a time.

So keep your workouts a little playful. Keep them challenging. And most importantly, keep them functional.

You’re not just exercising.

You’re building the strength, balance, and confidence that help you stay active, capable, and independent.

And THAT is the goal! ❤️💪🏽

Wellness isn’t just about what you eat or how much you exercise. It’s also about how you LIVE. ❤️

This was a night out at a social mixer, and honestly? Being there was good for my well-being in a completely different way.

Your body needs movement, nourishing food, water, and sleep—but you also need PEOPLE. 🥰

Meeting new faces. Having meaningful conversations. Laughing until your cheeks hurt. Getting out of your usual routine. Maybe even stepping a little outside your comfort zone.

That’s wellness too.

At 74, I’m reminded that staying healthy isn’t just about adding years to your life. It’s about adding life to your years.

So say YES to the invitation. 🎉

Introduce yourself to someone new.
Make the plans.
Laugh. Dance. Connect.
Spend time with people who make you feel good.

Connection isn’t extra. It’s part of taking care of yourself. ❤️

🎉 Happy 101st Birthday, Daddy! 🎉

Today, I’m celebrating 101 incredible years of my Father’s life, love, and wisdom. What a blessing it is to honor a man whose example continues to shape the way I live every single day.

My Father taught me that a good life is built through discipline, joy, kindness, and gratitude. He showed me the importance of caring for your health, staying strong in spirit, and appreciating each day you are given.

Those lessons have stayed with me throughout my life. They are part of why I continue to care for my body, protect my peace, and choose to live with purpose and gratitude.

Daddy, thank you for being such a powerful example of strength, resilience, and love. Your life continues to inspire me to show up fully and make every year count.

Happy 101st Birthday, Daddy! 🎂🎉

95 years young… and still making history. ✨🎉

What an incredible honor to celebrate the life, legacy, and 95th birthday of the legendary Marla Gibbs.

The celebration also included the signing of her inspiring new book, It’s Never Too Late—and what a fitting title for a woman who continues to remind us that purpose has no expiration date.

Being in the room with so many talented and accomplished people celebrating this iconic woman was truly special. But the highlight for me was getting to meet Marla, give her a hug, and thank her for being such a powerful example of grace, resilience, and longevity.

She proves that aging isn’t about slowing down—it’s about continuing to grow, inspire, and leave your mark on the world.

As I watched her shine at 95, I couldn’t help but think… this is exactly the kind of life I strive to live. A life of purpose. A life of impact. A life that counts.

Happy Birthday, Marla Gibbs, and thank you for showing us all that it’s never too late to keep living your dreams. ❤️

Have you ever met someone who inspired you to dream bigger, no matter your age? Tell me about them in the comments. 👇

The thing that ages you fastest isn't your knees. 👀

It's the quiet. I've watched it happen to strong women who spent forty years taking care of others. Then the house goes quiet, the phone stops ringing, and their world slowly shrinks.

Here's what I've learned in my seventies: staying connected is just as good for your health as any walk or workout. When you pull away from people, your energy dips and everything feels heavier.

So call the friend. Say yes to the coffee. Be the one who reaches out first. You don't need ten new friends. You need one, then another. 💛

Lifting weights isn't just for young men in a sweaty gym. 🏋️‍♀️

The strongest thing you can do for your independence starts with your own body. No equipment needed:

🪑 Stand up from a chair without using your hands
🧱 Push-ups against the kitchen counter
🦵 Slow, steady chair squats

Here's a tip I loved from the trainers in this article because I have said it more than once to my clients as well: if you're making a little face on those last two reps, you're doing it right. Muscle only holds when you ask something real of it.

This is exactly what keeps me carrying my own bags and getting up off the floor on my own. That's the whole point.

After a lifetime of taking care of others, choosing yourself can feel almost selfish. It isn't. 💛

I spent years putting myself last, so believe me, I understand the pull. But you can't pour from an empty cup. When you always come last, the stress piles up and quietly wears on your heart, your sleep, and your mood.

Taking care of you is what makes everything else possible. When you move, rest, and stay connected, you have more to give, not less.

It's never too late to put yourself back on your own list. This week, pick one small thing that's just for you, and let yourself have it, guilt free. ❤️
