This is $130 of cat food
4 cats with four different food preferences, this will last approximately 2 weeks. 61 items (71 units if you include the 12 variety pack box.).

130$..included a 20% off sale, so it would have been 150$ without.

I love my cats so they are worth the investment :) 🐈😺🧔✨

Wrong kibble in Blue Buffalo cat food! Odd customer service response.
Beware, something funky is going on at Blue Buffalo. Completely wrong/different kibble in this batch. See the image - correct one is on left.

I called the company to report the problem and ask about getting a replacement bag for my trouble. I was told the best they could do was send a pack of treats. Our cat doesn’t eat treats so that didn’t work for us. I can understand not wanting to pay for a whole new $35 bag, but at least a $5-10 coupon for our next bag would have been appreciated. She was asking me to take photos and email them to their QA department. I would have made the effort and spent the extra time if they’d offered a coupon or two. My time is worth something, too, more than treats my cat won’t eat!

They didn’t offer anything meaningful, so I’ll skip their process and just share my experience with you folks here and let you decide what to make of it.

TLDR; ā€œHeads up on Blue Buffalo the food and the company.ā€

Maybe someone at Blue Buffalo will find this link and forward it to their QA team. Wow.

Oh, and I added the last pic to show our last Petsmart purchase, to prove we were actually fans of the brand, not scammers trying to get free pet food.

I don't know what to feed my toothless cat.
A year and some change ago, my husband was given a cat by a client. (He's a tradesman who works residential.) She had been living in a large shed with 17 other cats.

She is really the sweetest little lady, just very shy and doesn't have a single tooth to her name. We couldn't turn her away considering her living conditions, and her and I bonded pretty much immediately.

We've been feeding her wet foods from the can and kibble that's been soaked in cat-safe broth. Now that we're better off financially, I want to start feeding her better, but I have no idea how.

Is there a good cat food that is soft enough to be chewed without teeth? Preferably as affordable as possible. Also, I'm open to suggestions that would take more prep, if it would be good for her. I can't work due to disability so I'm always gonna be home to prepare her meals.

Her name is Peaches, because the orange around her mouth makes her look like she's been eating a peach.

Spending 20 mins every other week taking off cat food labels and rinsing
A total of 45 cat food cans that filled up a third of a Trader Joe's bag (or conventional grocery paper bag). It's not the rinsing that gets me...it's the peeling off these super glued paper labels that takes a long time.

The time doesn't include my husband getting worked up over them taking over the counter space (started new stressful healthcare job with two hours roundtrip commute in DC so I'm a tired mom). I love these new cats but they're really my husband's and my kids'.

I had parents who had a scrap metal yard. The smell of that yard was a 1000x worse than this. Just needed to hear someone else spending way too much time on this too.

What’s your cats favorite dry food?
Hi all,

Looking to add some variety to my cat’s dry food! She gets about 1/4 a cup a day but that’ll last her 2-3 days before I refill her bowl. She gets anywhere from 4.5-5oz of wet food a day as well (morning and night).

Right now as far as wet food, my girl is not picky. I’ve established a rotation of Tiki Cat After Dark, Honest Kitchen, and Fancy Feast so far. All different types - shreds, pate, gravy, she loves it all.

For dry food, I’m currently feeding a mix of Tiki Cat and Purina LiveClear (long story short, fiancĆ© is allergic to cats, thought we would try out this food to see if it helps when we adopted her but he’s oddly…not allergic to her at all so we don’t need to repurchase tbh).

Any recommendations or favorites? Thanks! 😊

Need advice to deal with biggest picky eater I’ve ever taken care of
Gomez, my cat, it’s an extremely picky eater. He has been suffering from kidney problems and some gum disease, but both problems were adressed months ago, and unfortunately, got most of his teeth out, although he improved a lot right away!

For some time, he ate quite good, but a month ago, he suddenly refused to eat the food he used to love (dry renal natural food, the brand is Josera). I’ve been trying different foods, both dry and wet, but he gets tired of them in no time, sometimes he just licks the gravy and refuses to eat anything else. The last food that I introduced, he instantly loved, and then had a really bad diarrhea because he just wanted to eat the new food and had a bad reaction to it in the end. Now he refuses to eat it.

He has been even taking appetite stimulants for two weeks and he still refuses to eat, just licking the gravy over wet food.

At this point, I don’t really know what to do with him. I’m going to try buying renal medicine in case that might help with how he feels, but I’m getting desperate. I really need tips and advice because he’s getting really thin.

I might be crazy but I now have photographic proof
My colony of rescue cats, all disabled and foster fails, have always loved Purina Friskies wet food with extra gravy. But early this year they stopped eating it. These guys usually scarf it down, any wet food really, but now they won’t touch it. I noticed a packaging change so I started keeping track. This isn’t just a label change; the color, texture and smell are completely different. Has anyone else noticed?

Look what I got for hanukkah. I hope my cats like them.

Is this normal in Fancy Feast?
My kitty likes Fancy Feast pate. A few weeks ago, I noted tiny rice-shaped creamy clusters after scooping food and thought perhaps a bug got in and laid eggs when I didn’t cap off the can fast enough, so I disposed on the food. Fast forward to last week, the same thing was found as soon as I scooped out food, so I know a bug didn’t just fly in and lay eggs. Emailed the company and they haven’t responded. Anyone else experience this or know what it is?

When trimming my cat’s nails, the best way is to put a lint roller sheet on its head, right?
My cat really hates having its nails trimmed, but if I stick a lint roller sheet on its head, it stops struggling and stays completely still, which makes the whole process so much easier.
