LA Product & Beauty Photographer who produces strategic content that highlights the importance of diversity and inclusion of authentic beauty standards

One fragrance. A whole lot of content.

I talk a lot about remote shoots and retainers, but I think showing what that actually looks like is probably more useful.

All of these images were created for Future Society’s Solar Canopy, from the hand model shot with Keidy, to the floral set you can see me building here, to the cleaner product and ecomm imagery at the end.

And all of it was created from my studio with the client video’d in.

Before we shoot, we align on the creative, deck and shot list. On shoot day, my clients join remotely while images come through live, so we’re making decisions together in real time. Composition, styling, product placement, hand positioning, whatever needs adjusting.

But the part I love most about working this way, especially on retainer, is the range we’re able to create.

A brand doesn’t always need one hero image. It needs an entire library of content that can live across different places and serve different purposes, while still feeling like it all belongs to the same world.

And when we’re working together consistently, we’re not starting from zero every time. I already know the brand, the products and how the team likes to work, and we can keep building from there.

Remote doesn’t have to mean less collaborative. And a smaller production footprint definitely doesn’t have to mean smaller ideas.

If your beauty, skincare, wellness or fragrance brand needs an ongoing photo + motion partner, I’d love to talk. 🤍

Sometimes the best ideas come from asking “what if we pushed this a little further?”

I was going through older work and ended up pulling all of these together. They span a LOT of years, and they’re definitely louder than most of the skincare and product work I shoot now, but I still love how much we got to play in these images.

Not every shoot needs to be crazy or completely unexpected. But I do think there’s something to be said for giving yourself enough room to try the idea that feels a little weird, a little too much, or maybe wasn’t even part of the original plan.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it absolutely does not 😂 But when it does, it’s usually the image you remember.

I think that’s something I want to keep pushing myself to do more of, especially as everything starts to look more and more polished and perfect: make the shots we know we need, but always leave a little room to play.

Because you never know when the “let’s just try it” shot ends up being the best one.

This “sun-drenched bathroom” was actually a tabletop in my studio. ☀️

For this Body Firm / Crépe Erase image, I wanted to create the feeling of warm sunlight coming through a window without actually shooting on location.

A small tabletop set, a piece of fabric, some very intentional lighting…and a lot happening just outside the frame 😂

I love showing the BTS of images like this because so much of commercial product photography is figuring out how to create an entire environment within a very small space.

Swipe to see what was actually happening behind the camera.

If your brand has a concept you want to bring to life - whether we’re shooting on location or building the world from scratch - I’d love to hear what you’re working on.

One of my favorite things about shooting beauty is finding the balance between aspirational and actually useful.

For this Body Firm shoot, we wanted the imagery to feel warm, elevated and lived-in, while still making sure the product remained the hero. So we built the shot list around a mix of application, product interaction, tighter beauty moments and full collection imagery - giving the brand a much broader library to pull from across its content.

That’s something I’m always thinking about when I shoot: not just whether an image works on its own, but how the entire set works together for the brand.

A single campaign. A complete content library.

For this shoot with Rael, the goal wasn’t just to create one hero image. It was to build a collection of assets that could support the brand across social, web, email, advertising, and beyond.

From on-figure beauty imagery to premium product photography and texture-focused details, every image was created to work together while giving the marketing team the flexibility to tell a consistent story across every touchpoint.

Doing something a little different today 😎

Sharing five recent Perricone MD shots alongside the lighting setups behind them — the actual key, fill, and accents that made each image what it is.

I don’t usually pull back the curtain like this, but it’s the part of my work I love most.

Honestly, this is a big part of why I love working with brands on retainer. The longer I shoot for one brand, the better I know what works for them — what lighting they look best in, what feels like their world. That kind of familiarity is hard to fake and impossible to get from a one-off project.

One product. Nine assets. Every angle a brand needs ✶

On-figure application, hero shots, motion clips, texture details, dramatic light, soft daylight, even a lifestyle moment — this is what a single shoot can produce when it’s planned with the full asset stack in mind.

It’s the reason retainer partnerships work so well for beauty + wellness brands. Instead of scoping a new shoot every time you need content for a different channel, the work is built upfront to live everywhere a product needs to live: paid social, web, organic, PR, retail.

Less scrambling. More content. Stronger visual language over time.

Two weeks since I posted. Honestly? I needed the pause.

Running a commercial photo business isn’t always studio days and final images. Sometimes it’s quiet stretches of admin, edits, prep, and the mental work of figuring out what’s next.

But here’s what I came back with: a recent shoot for The Detox Market featuring May Lindstrom Skin, plus a peek at what the set actually looks like before the magic happens. Acrylic risers, flower frogs, ranunculus arranged stem by stem, and a lot of patience.

It’s a good reminder that the photos that look effortless almost never are. Every one of them is the result of intention, problem-solving, and time spent building the world the product lives in.

If you’ve been wondering what working together actually looks like, this is it. The full setup behind the scenes, and the kind of image it produces.

The best beauty imagery usually makes people stop for a second and go “wait…”

That tiny pause is everything.

The swing in this shot didn’t exist — we built it ✶

This is one of the most underrated parts of working with me on retainer: prop styling and set design baked into every shoot. Not pulled from a kit, not rented off a shelf. Custom to your brand, your product, your story.

The brands I partner with on retainer get this kind of intentional set design every single month — and over time, it becomes part of the visual signature that makes their content stand out from every other product shot in the feed.
