THANK YOU to everyone who participated in our Read-A-Thon!

Thanks to the incredible support of our students, families, and Rising Star community, we exceeded our fundraising goal and raised an amazing ⭐ $16,239 ⭐ to support our school!

On Friday, we celebrated all of our students’ hard work with a school assembly, where our top readers got the very special honor of pieing a staff member in the face! It was such a fun way to recognize their reading accomplishments and wrap up an incredible Read-A-Thon.

And, of course, we had to end the celebration in true Rising Star fashion... Stella the Star pied Mrs. Risinger! The students loved every second of it!

A huge thank you again to everyone who read, donated, shared, and cheered on our students. What an incredible Read-A-Thon!

Read-A-Thon was SUCH a success - we got to call up our top Star Readers to pie some Star Staff in the face 🥧🌟🤩 Way to go RS Community on supporting our school and helping us reading our goals!

A big shoutout to Cinemark Merriam for generously donating the popcorn 🍿 and to Mr. Haskell for making the lemonade! 🍋

One of our favorite things about PTA is being able to offer free events like this for our Rising Star families. We were also so happy to partner with the school to give away books as we wrapped up our Read-A-Thon. What better way to celebrate all that reading than by sending kids home with a new book!

Thank you to everyone who helped make the night such a success!
