Pure strength training has an important place in my training.
And so does this.
I love using rhythm, tempo changes and movement to create strength sequences that challenge your body in a completely different way.
You’re still squatting, hinging, pressing and lifting.
You’re just asking your body to coordinate those patterns while you move.
Different stimulus. Different challenge. Still strength.
And yes, maybe a little more fun. 🤗
I’m starting to realize that longevity is also about protecting my ability to keep doing the things I love for years to come.
Not everything I can do needs to make it onto the calendar.
Sometimes it’s just about asking: is this worth making room for?
Still figuring that one out. 😅
This is one of the things I love most about cardio.
It can be rhythmic and playful one minute, powerful and athletic the next.
And honestly? The powerful stuff can be pretty fun too. 😅
There’s something about moving to music, changing gears, and challenging yourself that just feels GOOD.
The workout you enjoy still counts.
In fact, enjoying how you move might be one of the best reasons to keep coming back. ❤️
Sometimes you see something that gives you a bigger picture of what’s possible.
Seeing people still doing what they love with that much energy and presence was incredibly inspiring.
It made me think about my own future a little differently.
Now I’m curious about yours.
What’s something you hope you never stop doing as you get older?
I’d genuinely love to hear your answers. ❤️

There’s been a lot on my mind lately.
My parents are getting older. My kids are grown. I’m thinking about my own health, my work, and honestly, just what I want the next chapter of my life to look like.
I don’t have it all figured out.
But one thing I keep coming back to is how important it is for me to stay strong, healthy and connected while I figure out the rest.
Not because I have some perfect vision of where I’m going.
I don’t.
I just know I want to keep doing the things that help me feel like me while I work it out.
And maybe you’re in a season like this too.
Where some things are changing, some things are uncertain, and you’re asking yourself what you want the next few years to look like.
Maybe we don’t have to have all the answers yet.
But we can keep taking care of ourselves while we figure them out.
And maybe, for today, that’s enough.💛
We’re always looking for the next thing.
A new workout.
A new program.
The next challenge.
Most of the time, what changes us isn’t something new.
It can be as simple as another workout.
And then another.
And another.
