I know about the power of lighting and even I was shocked how red this wig looked in the picture. Since I am a traveling stylist I keep a light with me that has a daylight setting. I don't depend on the lighting of the building.

Same holds true for makeup. When you are working on a small production make sure you look at the monitors to see how your work looks. Dont just hang at your station. If you have to work on the next person, ask can you take 30 sexonds to look at the talent you just finished in the monitor. Sometimes I ask the production if can they set me up a light. So I will have the same lighting they are using in the temperature they are filming.

Becoming a photographer has been a whole education on lighting. It can make or break your services that involve hue.

I contributed to Joico's partnership with the Susan G Komen foundation by making a t-shirt with Joico event shirts throughout the years.

I don't remember exactly how the suggestion was made for me to do this project. I had never completed a t-shirt quilt before. We were at a national training in LA and they were contemplating a new way to raise money for the Susan G Komen foundation. And the idea was born!

An announcement was made asking educators and employees that wanted to contribute to send me Joico t-shirts. Joico makes the BEST event t-shirts.
I got advice from my quilt guild ladies and got to work.

I wonder who got that quilt? I wonder if they still have it. Imagine walking into a thrift store and seeing that. I would love to make another one. If you have any shirts you want to part with.

I am calling this honey carmel. I didn't get good before pictures.... after pictures either. But this was a corrective color. Coming from a faded color 2 months ago. I am happy with the result.

We are taking it back! For years I was on that 'after 4pm' grind while I worked my corporate job. It was tiring but fun. We had our dinner in the salon. My co-workers showed up!

I love styling wigs. This was my setup in West Chester last month. I appreciate the salon owner for letting me have a day to setup, educate some people on wearing, styling and maintaining wigs. Then I did private consultations. It was a great night. I was so busy I didn't take one picture of myself. Another event coming soon!

I bought those heads from a store going out of business. They don't represent the brand wigs i have.
