WELP… I DID A THING. 🤪🫣🌀

My FIRST curly extension install!! And because apparently I like to make things extra complicated… I PERMED THE EXTENSIONS to match her natural curl pattern. 😅👏🏼

This one stretched me creatively in the BEST way.

We customized the curl pattern, blended everything into her natural texture, added fullness + length, and then did a little extra tweaking to the shape until everything flowed together just right. ✂️🌀

And can we talk about THAT BLEND?! 😭

Curly hair + extensions is a whole different ballgame, and I learned SO MUCH through this install. This is exactly why I love what I do—there is ALWAYS something new to learn, adjust, perfect and add to my toolbox. 🤍

A little glossy gloss + a BIG chop for this babe before heading into high school! 🤎

We added some color back in for that rich, dimensional brunette, tons of SHINE ✨ and finished her off with curtain bangs + soft face framing for a whole new look.

Sometimes you don’t need a huge color transformation — a fresh cut and the perfect gloss can change EVERYTHING. 😍

✨ TRUST THE PROCESS ✨

We have a destination… and this was appointment ONE. 🍓🤎✨

She came in with an all-over deeper copper and showed me an inspo of a much lighter, dimensional strawberry blonde.

Since this was our first appointment together, I had no idea how her previous color was going to lift—and preserving the health of her hair will ALWAYS come before forcing a color in one session.

And girlfriend surprised me because she lifted BEAUTIFULLY with only 7 vol. 👏🏼😂

For our first session, we added lots of brightness and dimension, softened her root, created a brighter face frame, and started breaking up that deeper copper.

Is this our final destination? Nope! And that’s okay. 💕

Now I know exactly how her hair responds, which means at her next session we can add even MORE brightness and shift those lighter pieces into that soft, peachy strawberry blonde we’re working toward. 🍓🍑

Healthy hair + realistic expectations + a plan = the prettiest transformations. ✨

I can’t wait to see where session TWO takes us. 😍
