Our new covered composting area is officially up and running!
As part of our commitment to regenerative agriculture and reducing waste, we compost poultry processing byproducts, cracked eggs, vegetable scraps, and other organic material from around the farm.
With the help of wood chips, moisture, heat, time, and a little turning, that material breaks down into rich compost that can go right back onto our pastures and garden beds.
Healthy soil is at the heart of everything we do.

Make your Thanksgiving centerpiece extra special this year with a fresh, never-frozen, all natural, pasture-raised turkey from Hopewell Farms!
They will be harvested right here on our farm the week of Thanksgiving, so you can enjoy a fresh turkey for your holiday table.
A $50 deposit secures your turkey, with the remaining balance due at pickup at $8/lb. Your final balance will be based on the actual weight of your turkey, minus your $50 deposit.
Farm store pick up will be held on Tuesday, November 24th from 8AM to 5PM and Wednesday, November 25th from 8:00AM to 11 AM.
We’ll do our best to honor your requested size, but exact weights cannot be guaranteed.

We have new piglets!!! We love our new life we get to welcome to the farm and we’ve especially loved all the pigs this year. They are getting curious and brave 🐷🐽🐖

Remember Bear? He’s been hard at work!
Great Pyrenees have been protecting livestock for hundreds of years. Unlike herding dogs, they’re bred to live alongside the animals they guard, staying calm, patient, and always aware of what’s happening around them.
At Hopewell, Bear spends his days (and nights) watching over our chicken flock. He’s always listening, always paying attention, and always ready to let predators know they’re not welcome.
He may look like a fluffy white cloud, but don’t let that fool you his instincts, size, and steady temperament make him an incredible livestock guardian.
We’re grateful to have Bear on patrol and doing exactly what Great Pyrenees do best: protecting the flock.

Hey Farm Family! Happy Friday.
I have been sitting on some NATIONAL treasures (ha!) from May that I want to get around to sharing. One of which was this fun find. Something can be said for the farmers of old and how they cared for the land. We’ll share more with you next week about my time on Capitol Hill but for now, revel in how neat of a find this was for us and have a good weekend!
As always, farm store is open 24/7, stop on by this weekend (we have some new piglets!) and beef is already flying out of the freezers, so come on in!
