Walk outside in the morning.

I’ve been walking outside in the morning the past few days, and it has been so cathartic. This is a beautiful way to get morning sunlight in your eyes, which helps to set your circadian rhythm and boost hormone health.

I also highly recommend leaving your phone at home, or at least on do not disturb, forgoing the headphones, and just soaking up nature. Take deep breathes, talk to Jesus, and just practice gratitude.

Whether you walk around your neighborhood, up and down your street, around your yard, or at a local park, just find some time to walk outside. If you can’t do it in the morning, then do it in the evening. We need more nature in our lives 🫶🏼

Let God shape you into who He created you to be.

Believe me, I realize this is a lot easier said than done. Sometimes, the trials we go through, the unfairness we experience in life, and the truly earth-shatteringly hard things we have to deal with can feel like their only purpose is to cause you pain and suffering.

However, we must remind ourselves that while God doesn’t cause our suffering, He will use it, and He is writing a testimony of His glory through it.

We’ve all heard that experiencing difficulties builds character, and honestly, there’s a lot of truth in that. It’s no secret that the suffering, the loss, the grief, the waiting seasons, and the crushingly difficult chapters can change you. Fortunately, whether that change is for the good or the bad is up to you.

You can either allow your hard experiences to harden you and shape you into someone you don’t even recognize, or you can allow God to use what you’ve been through to shape you into who He wants you to be and to write a testimony that someone else desperately needs to cling to through their own challenging journey.

Yes, being in the thick of the storm can be unbearable. But as someone who’s also in the thick of their own storm, I can tell you that God wants to walk through the storm with you and use it for good.

Maybe he wants to use you and your story in the future to help someone else who’s experiencing the loss of a loved one, sudden career shifts, infertility, chronic illness, or whatever it is that you’re going through.

I know it’s hard. Hang tight and let God work through it, fight for you, shape you, and cultivate the most beautiful testimony of His goodness through your life✨📝
