There is something people outside of this industry will never fully understand about what happens in a treatment room. Someone walks in as a name on a schedule, and somewhere between the first appointment and the fifteenth, they become a person you genuinely look forward to seeing. You learn about the new job, the hard season, the wedding, the baby, the move, the loss, the thing they have not told anyone else yet. You hold all of it carefully, and they trust you with it because a treatment room is one of the very few places left where a woman gets to be completely herself without performing for anyone.

I do not think most clients realize what they give us in return. Every single person who lands in that room is a gift, and the friendships and connection and love that grow out of these appointments are what fill so many of us up. That is what keeps this work from ever feeling like just work. We are not simply providing a service, we are being let into people’s lives, and that is a privilege that never gets old no matter how many years you have been doing this.

So if you have ever wondered whether your appointment is just another slot in someone’s day, please know that it is not. You are a very big part of why we do this at all.

USPS restructured their rates this summer, and the way that change hit our Shopify checkout meant some of you were being quoted shipping costs far higher than what your order should have cost to ship. Ouch is right, and nobody warned us it was happening, so we went digging through order after order until we found it ourselves.
