ARE YOU UP FOR THE CHALLENGE? Choose your Birthday/Thanksgiving/Christmas/Valentines Day. Make up 10 Communicate with others here and ask questions.
This page is designed for everyone who participates in the challenge to post pics so you can share the joy. HOW DOES IT WORK: Choose a special day to give. Your birthday/Thanksgiving/ Christmas. Put together 10 gift bags. Choose a place to go and hand them out to homeless people and those in need. You will be amazed at the beautiful reception you will get from these people. Share your gift of life by giving to others. Here are the contents for the bags:
1x 50" x 60" fleece blanket, 1x toothbrush in a toothbrush holder, 1x large toothpaste, 1x deodorant, 1x bar of soap, 1x big hersheys bar, an envelope with a $5 bill in it. Put everything in a coloured bag with coloured tissue paper. Make it look fun and festive. All gifts can be purchased for $1 each at dollar stores and the blanket is a maximum of $5 a piece. This does not have to be a grand affair. 10 simple gift bags given to homeless people is a very easy act of kindness that can have a profound affect on you and those you touch. Sandwiches, chocolate chip cookies and bottles of water. The people are always so gracious and grateful when we bring them food. Jay Beard, Natalie Elliott, Justiss Beard and Ni'yati Beard giving time and essentials to the homeless.
Another connecting time Jay Beard helping others stay warm during the cold months.

Jay discovered that a friend makes mats out of plastic bags. They are sturdy and soft and perfect to sleep on. It takes her 25 hours to make one. AMAZING! Last night we took them to an area where homeless people sleep and handed them out. They were beyond grateful to have something soft to sleep on. One lady even cried because she wasn't sure how she would sleep well just on a thin blanket on concrete. We look forward to helping even more people.

Left over pasta, cheese and chicken from a luncheon was popular and we were able to feed quite a few people. Everyone we fed was so thankful and happy to receive these meals. Always a joy to see this.
