Sketchbook studies in gouache 🌊💕🏝️

Another fun session by Katie | Sketchbook Artist and the coastal month 🌊 Loving the feel of painting with gouache and adding details with dry media 🤩

A quick study of skies. Lately I’ve been getting my analog materials out more and started practicing gouache while continuing my watercolor studies. I have to say, I’m getting a little obsessed with this gouache thing, I mean look at those vibrant colors! 💕

It all started with this year’s and watching Katie | Sketchbook Artist do her thing, I was hooked. So here we go on a joyful journey of color mixing and sketchbook studies! 🫠

How much art can you do while caring for a newborn? Plus older kids, plus housing etc? Well, doodles it is! Flower doodles are one of my fav to do, mushrooms are a close second…maybe those will be next!

I wanted to paint some lemons 🍋 for a while now, I don’t know something about the summer and Sorrento vibes 🇮🇹 it just feels like that sort of temp ☀️💕 and when life gives you lemons and all that…

Magic lettering in different forms, playing with this and that and coming back to my favorite palette 🎨💕

Taking my own advice or at least trying to take it easy! 🫠

A mushroom gift bag, yes please!, or gift wrap or phone wallpaper or really anything at all! This is my current laptop wallpaper 🍄💕
