A lot of these healthy fitness food recipes are not as healthy as you think they are. You really have to be careful because what you think should be helping you reach your goals may actually be preventing you from reaching them!

My bone was shattered so the metal replaced it. But I still work out 6x a week and build muscle đŸŠŸ I have two titanium rods /implants and 18 screws from shoulder to elbow

Listen, no one is going to get up and do it for you. We’re all tired, we all have excuses, but if you REALLY want something
it’s up to you to get up and make it happen. Your only limit is your mind and the prison you make of it. Get up and get moving!

Motivation is unreliable. Your routine shouldn’t be.

If you’re deciding every single day whether you feel like working out, you’re making consistency way harder than it needs to be.

Know your days. Know your time. Know what you’re training. Have your stuff ready.

The less you have to think about it, the easier it is to just go.

You don’t need to feel motivated every day. You need a plan you can follow even when you don’t. đŸ’Ș

No one has a good day every day. Literally no one. That doesn’t mean you let a bad mood stop you from working towards your goals
not if they really matter to you. Sometimes you just have to show up anyway 💕

Fitness really is just a bunch of tiny deposits.

One workout won’t change your body. One perfect week won’t either. But effort and consistency stacked over time absolutely will.

So don’t doubt yourself just because you can’t see the payoff yet. Keep showing up, keep making the deposits, and give them time to add up.

If your workouts suddenly feel way harder than they should, I wouldn’t immediately assume you need to push harder.

Sometimes you’re just walking into the gym with a half charged battery.

Before I change anything, I’m checking sleep, food, carbs, protein, hydration and recovery first. Staying consistent is important, but your post gym recovery is part of that consistency too.

Because “get back in the gym” only works if your body has actually had a chance to recharge.

This is how to properly wash your gym clothes so they actually get clean and don’t start holding onto that sweaty gym smell 😭

If you’re sweating in them all week, you want to get the sweat, body oils and bacteria OUT, not just make them smell good for 10 minutes.

Turn them inside out, use an enzyme detergent, skip fabric softener, add laundry sanitizer, and please do not let damp leggings marinate in your hamper 💀

This is basically how I make self discipline and consistency way easier on myself.

I make the whole gym vibe something I actually look forward to instead of something I have to force myself through every day.

The girly gym outfits, the food I only let myself have on gym days, the audiobook I only listen to there, the perfume I only wear there, boxing because I actually enjoy it... all of it gives my brain something to want NOW instead of waiting weeks or months for results.

And as a mom, fitness motivation has to work with real life. I’m not trying to rely on willpower every single day lol. I’d rather make the routine rewarding enough that my brain actually wants to go back.

That’s basically the whole dopamine thing for me.

If you keep quitting the gym before you reach your goal, this is for you. This is long, but important. I’d say it’s the top thing you need to realize/know if you’re getting in to fitness. Discipline doesn’t just come easily to most of us, you have to manipulate dopamine/ your reward system so that it allows you to actually enjoy the process of getting fit before you see the usual rewards (a fit body). And in the process of loving your routine... that’s where you learn discipline.

Of course you’re excited at first. New routine, new goals, new clothes, whatever. New = dopamine rush, period. Then that wears off and now you’re waking up at 5am, driving there, doing hard s**t, and the actual results are still months or even years away.

So you have to learn to make the process enjoyable for YOU. If you can make your brain actually look forward to the process, you’re not going to have to fight yourself so hard every single day. This is the gym girl hack.
